I have this on all 4 corners and looks like a perfect place for hornets and wasps to enter. I took 4 paper towels and wedged them in to block the holes. Is this common or do they usually have another material attached on top to close these holes?
Have a good one.
OK, just talked to the guy who did my walk around plus he's the main PUP repair tech. He said the holes were normal and like that on all Rockwoods. He said it's not much a concern as water wouldn't get in there, but could see my concern as far as wasps geting in. Like I said, I just stuck some paper towels in there. I may get some rags and put them in there later.
He also said he'd try to align the trunk door as it shoudn't be making any contact. As far as the screw that interferes with the slide track of the privacy curtain, he's seen that before so he'll move the screw.
Have a good one.

Congratulations on the new addition. I know how you feel, I picked up my Niagara just before memorial day weekend. Your lucky you get to put it up in the driveway and play with it, I live in a townhome community and they don't allow us to store them there. The things to big to fit in the small garage I have. Oh well, enjoy you new PU, I hope you have many years of great camping memories with it. Good luck and good camping.

Being you have about the biggest PUP made, I don't doubt that it wouldn't fit in the garage.
Hi Mike,
I love the picture of both trailers. Your dads trailer brings pack a few good childhood memories for me. We had a trailer that look like that when I was a kid. We took it up to the Eastern Sierra's every summer and stay up there for 8 to 10 weeks. It was great. Good luck with your new trailer. that looks like a keeper. My friend Bob has a Rockwood and they just love it. Great trailers. Take care.........

If you think nobody cares if you're alive, try missing a couple of
payments on your RV.

Thanks, my Dads camper has the best floorplan that I've seen in a camper. It's dinette area has a seat on each side wall and makes into a full size bed in length and width! The rear couch runs from side wall to side wall which also makes into a full size bed in length and width. Above that sofa is another full size bed in a bunk form. The little window by the roof in the rear, is the bunk window. It's heavy duty and as I remember, has a sliding system on a rail. It's not one of these low weight wimpy bunks made today. My bother and I slept in it when we were in highschool, while my sister had the sofa bed. My parents had the dinette bed. The beds were like ~53" X 80" and there were "3" in that little 17' Shasta.
The only camper no matter what length I found was Rockwood's Roo 233, which had 3 Queen size beds, and they were the bunk-ends.
Now unlike campers of today, my Dads camper emphasized living quarter instead of the bathroom. Todays campers give up so much so that they can have a large bathroom. That Shasta bathroom was narrow but large enough to seat me on the toilet. Oh yeh, to take a shower, I needed to stay on that toilet as there was no where to stand. And can you believe it, I actually had to wash my hands in the kitchen sink since there was no bathroom sink.
