I just finished making a tow guard for our 1999 Suzuki Vitara & Blue Ox Adventa II tow bar. We completed our first trip with it, 180 miles round trip, and it seems to be holding up.

If your interested here is a link to see how it was made

Looks like a fine shield/guard for your dinghy. Your description and parts list will be much appreciated when many people follow your lead. Thanks for your ingenuity. You may want to carry parts and fabricate some when camping to test marketability just as others do crafts for sale in many parks.

Thank You for sharing this with us. I plan on making one ASAP. Much better than the bra that damages the paint unless you take it on/off after every trip....a real pain...Hutch

Brilliant! The mesh material in your design reminds me of restringing all of my dad's aluminum lawn chairs 30 years ago.

Are those l-brackets enough to keep the guard from flopping around, or do you also attach somewhere else?

Nice job. I'm sure we will be seeing clones on the highway.
Gonna start on mine today.
Thanks
