I have been watching the news and weather with all the snow and cold covering so much of the nation. We are still enjoying nice mild weather here in Florida but all good things must come to end and we go home tomorrow leaving the sunshine and white sand beaches behind. If it wasn't so far from home we would come more often, such a beautiful place. I can't say enough good things about the campground and the friendly people who operate it.
Sue just left with Peaches and Mama while I stay and get ready to face the day. By the time I get up and feed the girls I am running so far behind Sue. She gets up and starts to dress immediately so by the time I get the girls fed she is ready to go.
We are taking a different route home to see if it is better, or quicker. Interstate 85 had no rest stops after leaving Atlanta and very few fuel stops, so we are going to go east on I-10 to the Thomasville, Georgia exit and go north to I-75 and then home. It is further that way but maybe a bit better because it is mostly Interstate. I hope to get home before dark tomorrow so we need to get an early start. I found out this week my first cousin Martha Anne Daniels passed away December 15th. I didn't know she was sick as she was such a private person not telling anyone how bad she was getting along. Anyway she died of cancer leaving no family behind.
Okay, have a great day and enjoy yourself, talk with you later

We made it home. We came back a different way which turned out not to be the best. But anyway we had a good time, enjpyed every minute of it. Now to setle down into our normal routine.
Oh how brutal! It is cold here this morning. What happened to the nice warm weather we were having in Florida? Reality sometimes is a harsh thing, but that is what we got a dose of this morning. We got home about 7:30 last night after spending eleven hours on the road. The way we came home was not the way to go. But regardless, we had a great time. I will post pictures sometime today of the girls at the dog park. Suzie had the best time running wide open through the park darting in and out of the water that was left after the heavy rain we had the day before.
Too bad the girls weren’t allowed on the beach, they would have had a great time. Today I will finish unloading the camper and then comes the part of cleaning up. If you are ever close to Destin you need to stop for a visit to see the beautiful pristine beaches. If you are a golfer there are many courses in the area that are very nice. Then if you want to go fishing in the Gulf there are boats you can rent for the adventure of a life time. The weather was so nice with temps always in the upper 60’s and the mid to lower 70’s. So now we have to get used to winter again and wait for spring to come to South Caroina.
When you said what way you were going to try I cringed. Had gone that way and it was a mess. But it had been a while since we went that way so hoped things had improved. Guess not. Glad you had a good time and you made it home safely.
