Question,????? Do all Labs have some sort of obsession? I know of 3 Labs, my son's included and they all of some sort of obsession. After reading Richard's post made me think.

Then I think I know the reason he was kicked out, his peedee dribbles while he is sleeping. So we put someting down on the carpet where his is going to lay down.
Richard,
Our Springer Molly had urinary incontinence as well, only in her sleep. Vet said it was due to weakness in urethral muscle. He prescribed PPA, which I think is the same as Proin50, she took it for a year or so and we took her off it to see how she would do, and no more incontinence! That was about 6 years ago and she's not had a problem since.
Charlie is a great looking dog, and that puppy is just the sweetest thing! Good luck with them both. You and Sue are angels!

Suzie started something she couldn't finish. I don't know exactly what happened but Suzie and Charlie were in the kitchen when the fight broke out, but Suzie was glad to see me come and break it up. She has been sprawling for a confrontation ever since Charlie got here but I have always been there to break it up and give Suzie a good scolding. Maybe now Suzie will be a little more accepting.

Of course Charlie has a ball/toy fetish! He's a Yellow Lab! All Labs are crazy about Something because they're bred to work, work, work. No work? They translate that drive into Play, Play, Play. Taking all the toys out of the box is probably a good game for him. With a little work and some treats, you could teach him to put them away too. have fun with it!
And don't forget, Fetch is a GREAT way to exercise a dog! You are gonna have so much fun, I envy you! Wait, what's that splat noise down the hall? Dernhelm dropping her wet tennis ball to get my attention! Gotta go throw it for her....
My black Lab, Velvet, had to have something in her mouth at all times....especially when running to the door to meet someone. She LOVED to retrieve and she had toys all over the house, so she could grab one on a moment's notice. Gotta love a Lab. They are such sweet, funny, energetic and smart animals.
As for Suzie......It has not been that long since Fella disappeared on her. She has no idea where he went or if he will come back. Now, suddenly there is not one but TWO new dogs in the house, and she is probably jealous and insecure. Justifiably so. I suspect Suzie would do well with a lot of extra love and attention right now. It is so easy for us to understand what happened to her life....but how can you explain it to her? Poor baby.
Richard.....is Blackie housebroken as well? How old is he? Do you know anything about his history? Cute puppy!!!
Our Yorkie, Katy, developed incontinence while sleeping a couple months before she died. In addition to all her other problems, her kidneys were failing, so I suspect that was the problem. Anyway, the vet gave me some medication for it that worked very well, but I don't remember the name of it.
And Richard, Blackie is REALLY a cutie. I think I'd have called her Sox, with those white feet. Any idea what breed(s) she is?
Blackie is a 7 week old puppy that is taking to crate training very well. She has a ways to go yet but there is progress. We have no idea who dropped her off at the shelter as she was left sometime over the weekend. Someone just put her inside the fence and left her.
She is such a sweet little puppy that will go up for adoption through the Old Fella Burke County Animal Rescue. There is a load of dogs going to Atlanta to the SPCA today, so that will make room for some of the puppies and adult dogs waiting to find homes.
The memorial for Fella is making progress and as I said before Mr. Jessie Palmer President of the First National Bank of Waynesboro called and donated a place in the new park for a memorial for Old Fella. I still don't know if he should go there or to the property that has been donated to the organization.

One of our local shelters has a no-questions-asked drop off cage set up. Its accessible from the outside of the building 24/7 and always has food and water inside. They figure some people might not want to walk in and face somebody but will use an anonymous drop off rather than just dumping the dog somewhere.
