Good morning everyone, It's time to rise and shine!
Yesterday I was in terrible pain with a kidney stone. Finally at about five in the afternoon it passed. This was the worst one I have ever had, but this morning I am much better.
.Charlie continues to do well and is not limping so I am certain now he had too much running after the ball. Suzie has taken a liking to the old boy and they are getting along great. Suzie will pick a toy out of the toy box and bring it to Charlie and drop it in front him trying to get him to play with her. If Charlie doesn’t respond to her offer, then she will pick it up shake it and drop it back down in front of him this time a little closer. If she doesn’t get a response to that offer she will pick it up and put in his face as if to say, “What’s the matter don’t you want to play?” Then she will drop the toy and dive into Charlie and the rough house begins. They will roll and tumble until Charlie gets tired and then he will go back to his bed. If Suzie comes back for more he will let her know enough!
Yesterday it was 101 outside. Today it will be 102, so I guess I will stay close to the A/C. I am still a little worn out from yesterday’s ordeal but I had a good night’s sleep so I know I will be feeling stronger later on.

Richard,
So sorry you were in pain. Hope you remain healthy and pain-free.
I enjoy hearing about the antics of Suzie and Charlie. I can picture them in my mind! Charlie must feel so happy, loved and blessed. He is safe and gets to play with fur persons and humans!

OUCH....kidney stones are really painful. Last year when Kim had a stone the doctor at the emergency room told him it was "a man's childbirth" and the way Kim was moaning it must have been really bad.....I'm so glad it passed...take care. I'm glad Charlie and Suzie have decided to be friends. We are really starting to get some wind here in central Texas with Miss Dolly hitting our coast. We are headed out in the motorhome tomorrow and I'm dreading this wind.

Donna, you guys be safe, have never been any where near a hurricane (just tornadoes) so don't even know how they are or what to prepare for.
Richard, glad you have passed it and you are feeling better.
Also glad Charlie and Suzie are now friends.

Good Evening Everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know that the 2009 OLD FELLA RALLY IN OHIO thread is up and running. There is a link to the campground. The campground is in the heart of Ohio Amish Country and a pretty area of Ohio. Lots of shopping can be done in that area. This campground is only 3 years old and is quite nice. If you all will PM me when you make your reservations, I will update the site. The second post is from Co-host Roger and Cindy -they hosted the first rally- and it will contain info on activities and food.

I discovered the Old Fella thread months ago. My husband emailed it to me because we're looking for a motorhome to travel with our dogs. I have never written in because we haven't yet gotten our motorhome but have been reading almost daily for a long time. Richard has been an inspiration for me and changed my life. Tomorrow is the 1-year anniversary of losing my beloved dog, Brandi. When reading about old fella and his physical pains, ups and downs, and his love and will to live, he reminded me of Brandi. His death was like losing Brandi all over again. I have not replaced her because I do have 2 other large dogs and we want to travel. We also have 2 cats and 2 horses. I just want to say that tomorrow I will be mailing a very important letter inspired by all of you. There is a 120 acre property near me owned by the widow of Red Skelton, it is set up for horses with several homes and buildings - it would be a great animal rescue and is currently just sitting there empty, although someone may live in one of the homes, but the horse facilities and barns are not being used. I wrote a letter to Mrs. Skelton to see if she would lease me the property for a rescue. I will mail it tomorrow on the anniversary of Brandi's death - hopefully she can influence the response. Maybe it's a good thing we never got a motorhome - I hope this works out - it's all because of you people and your love that glows from every comment. You all are my inspiration, I just want to say thank you.

What a wonderful thing to do in Brandi's name. I hope something works out for this project. You don't need to be an RVer to post here as far as I, and probably a few other on the Pet Stop, feel
