Last March I started a thread asking about four wheel drive vs two wheel drive just before we bought the F350. Boy has it turned into a battle ground, I expect it will get locked down sometime today. I am sorry I ever posted it.

Richard, glad to hear you're feeling better, hope it continues. As for your thread, I went back and read it, and it seems like a typical thread. They argue for several pages between themselves, and few actually answer the question. I have asked a few questions myself, and it seldom fails that every possible answer will be advanced, and sometimes a few that are not possible. We are glad that you are enjoying your new truck, and that it has worked out so well for you, and that is what is important. I hope you all have a good time in Virginia, and "Stay healthy, my friend".

I got an invite from Erika (Mark and Erika from Big Stone Gap) on Facebook. I definately tried to invite them to come to the Rally. I believe it would be shorter than Missouri but now quite as short as Rutherfordton. Hope I hear from them. Haven't seen them since we met up with them in Wytheville a few years back.

Walter and Garland - Would be great if you all could make it to Ohio.

The rally is gaining a few more folks it seems, I am glad to see the interest. We go through life and we make many friends that sometimes just make a fleeting presents in our lives, Then there are those that become a part of our lives. This is the way I feel about the many friends we have made over the years because of Old Fella. It will be nice to get to see some of those friends again this summer in Ohio. I cannot tell you how dear I hold the memory of all the friends we have made through the years who have been a part of the Old Fella Rallies. Of course there are the FOOFS that have been a huge part of the Old Fella thread, some of which I have never met, but still we have become close friends.

I have truly been blessed with the friends of Old Fella and all that he has meant to all of us. As life goes on and the days draw nearer for us to enjoy the fruits of our labor I rejoice in the fact that I have been a part of so many families and their companion animals. When I think of the many homes that have received an Old Fella rescue it just makes me realize how one idea, one act of kindness can touch so many lives.

This morning I look at our fur gang and how much they mean to us. Mama, Hobo, Suzie, Peaches and Izzie each have a strong place in our hearts. Tomorrow when we start our trip to Virginia I think of the fur gang as children going on an adventure enjoying a life as a family. Mama is our biggest child in more ways than one. Her time with us is getting shorter, but each day she grows deeper into our hearts as a special gift that was given to us by an old man in his last days wanting to make sure his beloved fur babies were taken care of. Thus Hobo and Mama found a life with us and allowed us into their hearts. Hobo is also our special baby because of her innocence. To her everything is beautiful and friendly, a far cry from her days in the past when she feared everyone and everything. If we all had an attitude like hers this world would be a wonderful place to live.

Okay I need to get going. By the way I feel so much better this morning. You would have laughed your head off this morning if you had seen me in the kitchen fixing the girls breakfast trying to keep my pants from falling to the floor. I have lost so much weight I can’t keep my pants on without a belt. I hope I will soon be healthy enough that I can have a life without pills and insulin. So far the insulin is a past part of my life, I hope it stays that way.

Richard, so happy to hear you are feeling better. Got Missy to her vet this morning and he also confirmed it is arthritis. Told him about Joint Strong and he said he wasn't a fan, because the industry does not have any regulations or guidelines that they don't always use quality meds. He recommended Dasuquin. I checked it out and might be worth a try. Got very good reviews. Sounds like it might take the place of young at heart too. Anyway not sure I would do this but he takes 2 tabs a day for his knees. Has for the last 5 years and he feels it has helped him keep surgery at bay. Who knows. He did put her back Rimadyl, said she needed to be on it for 2 weeks to see a difference. Blood test in 2 weeks. So hopefully this will help her.

Ed, We have had Sarah on Joint Max Triple Strength and she seems to be getting along quite well. We found the best price to be from Entirely Pets.Com Sarah has been on this since we got her and that makes it around 2 1/2 years she has been on it. Lori took the bottle in to our vet to look at the ingrediants and he said it was just fine.
Hope the fur child keeps getting better.

We have had Mama, Peaches, Levi and Old Fella on Joint Strong with great success. When Peaches came to live with us she couldn't walk on all four legs. Within a week after receiving Joint Strong she was running on all four legs.

We will be leaving very early in the morning so I won't be able to post until we reach Virginia tomorrow evening. So I will say have a blessed evening and enjoy the sunrise in the morning.

We made it safe and sound. We had two people come along side us on the interstate and point back at the trailer as if something was wrong. I stopped and looked and found nothing. Once we got to Interstate 64 in Virginia a man in a red pickup truck was pointing back at the camper saying something so I rolled down my window and slowed down so I could hear him. He said I had a tire about to blow on the camper. We weren't far from the campground so I stayed my course until we got there. I put Sue in the driver's seat and I walked behind the camper and saw nothing. Now what do you do?

I have looked the tires over very carefully and see nothing wrong at all. I guess the next step is have someone come out to the campground who is a tire professional and see what they can find.

Anyway we are in Williamsburg looking forward to see all there is here and enjoy ourselves.
