We seems we have dodged the bullet for now with Mama. She is doing well and her pain seems to have subsided at least for now.

Glad to hear that Mama is feeling better. We made it through to Atlanta and as far as Chattanooga yesterday. Was tired when we got there as the temperature was showing 91 for part of the trip. Going to stay here tonight also and then stop between Manchester and Murfreesboro and get a site for a couple of days so we can wee our friends up there. That should be an easy trip as it is only around 60 miles.

Mr. Hoops, hope you have a safe trip home and you can get some relief for your furkid. Once home, think about making reservations for the Ohio Old Fella Rally. So far we only have 4 rigs signed up. Would love to have a bigger turnout than that.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Talk to you later.

Dan, I am sure everyone is concerned about gas prices at this point. Hopefully prices will go down and more will sign up. And thanks for the well wishes for us and Missy.

Hoops I hope Missy is doing okay. Mama is back to herself and doing well. Dan I hope you and Lori are okay too. I have to go to Camping World today to have the 5th wheel hitch put into the truck. I don't konw how long that will take so I haven't planned anything else for the day. Tonight Sue and I are going to the baseball game in Greenville with the girls and their family. The weather change is unexpected and it will be cold tonight, in the lower 40's.

Have a blessed day.

Good Morning, We are in Tennessee heading to Lebanon Tn tomorrow to visit with the doctors that Lori worked with in Findlay. The weather here is cooler than we have had n the past. It is 54 this morning with a high of 66 for today. Gee it is the first day for long pants in a couple of weeks. North of Atlanta a couple of days ago heading north the outside temp in the truck told me it was 91. We are probably going to head towards home either Sunday or Monday. Hope you all have a Blessed Easter weekend.

Glad you are enjoying your trip Dan. It was cold here this morning with frost on the ground. We are ready to take a trip with the new truck now that the hitch and mud flaps have been installed. We plan to go to Modoc next weekend and think about an old black dog that changed our lives a few years ago. It seems like yesterday that Sue and I came across a starving bone thin black dog that touched all of our lives.
This summer we will celebrate in Ohio with another Old Fella rally. I hope we will have good attendance as the cause still goes on with the rescue effort in Burke County Georgia. There are still hopes that a shelter will be constructed on the property sometime in the near future. The rally this summer will bring focus on the Old Fella Burke County Animal Rescue and the work going on there. His memorial in the City Park in Waynesboro stands as a symbol of his impact on the small community he came to call home. I look at Suzie and realize if it weren’t for Old Fella There would be no Suzie for us, neither would there be many others who have found forever homes. The last count that I have knowledge of is two thousand lives saved and found homes for. I want to thank all of the Old Fella Family that have helped through the years to make all of this possible. In memory of Old Fella thank you for keeping his memory and spirit alive.

On April 1, Colorado Greyhound Adoption, the organization I volunteer for and have adopted from, celebrated its 15th anniversary. In that time, they have found homes for more than 4000 retired racing greyhounds. Let us give thanks at this special time of year for all the people and groups that work tirelessly to help the animals. Happy Easter and Happy Passover to all my friends on the Forum.

It is Easter Sunday and here in the Deep South it is a beautiful morning. I hope everyone has a blessed day and enjoys family and friends. The fur gang is doing well, especially Suzie as she has been full of herself this morning. She picked up her toy squirrel and found the squeaker and has been all over the house making Mama crazy. Mama thinks Suzie is hurting the squirrel and wants to take it from her, but Susie is just too fast for Mama to catch her. Finally Suzie put the squirrel down long enough for Mama to grab it, so now she is in possession of the toy and won’t let it go. When it was time to eat Mama put the toy next to her food bowl and made sure no one touched it while she ate her breakfast.

The girls and their families are coming over to go to church with us and then coming back for Sunday lunch. They are such a blessing and we are glad to have them close by. Okay, have a blessed day and enjoy yourselves this Easter Sunday.

Dash is having trouble walking today. He can't seem to keep himself coordinated, especially his rear legs. They just want to go in separate directions, he keeps bumping into the walls and steps are a nightmare. It is possible that his DM became suddenly worse, but it usually doesn't work that way. He may have had a stroke last night, although he doesn't show any other symptoms except the difficulty walking. In particular, I am not seeing the characteristic weakness on one side of the face, and he can stand. I gave him a Rimadyl this morning about 4 AM, but he vomited almost immediately. He has shown no further signs of stomach distress, although I haven't fed him yet. I just took him for a short walk (more of a stagger), and he did all his bathroom duties; everything looked normal. I'll keep an eye on him today; he seems to be resting OK, but if he seems especially uncomfortable, I may have to take him to the emergency clinic. Otherwise, I'll have to drop him off at my vet tomorrow, or cancel the service I have scheduled on the RV. I'm afraid to leave him alone in case he falls down the steps. I'll report later on his status.
