Are you running one of the Tire Monitoring Systems that monitors Temperature? If so the Temp should have gone up. Any drop in PSI? Check under the trailer, you could have something flopping in the wind at certain speeds. Also check the lug nuts. If two different folks said something then something is wrong. Did you run your hands over the tires to see if one was hotter then the other??

After another careful look I have found tread separation on the two tires on that side. The crack on one of the tires runs a complete circle around the inside diameter of the tire, it was just a matter of time before it blew off. I have someone coming out to look and give me a price on replacing both tires. When I get home I will replace the two on the other side as well. We have certainly had our share of tire trouble over the years. But this time at least we were spared being on the side of the road changing a tire.
The campground is nice and we are enjoying our stay. There is lots of room for the dogs to walk in the big open fields around us. The site are a little small but okay . The place is clean and the campground host is very nice and helpful. The girls were glad to get out of the truck when we got here and loved the dog play area.
Today after lunch we will take our first tour of Williamsburg.

Your guardian angels were working overtime!! Glad nothing happen. The other day there was a 5th wheel that caught fire on I70 just a few miles away from where I am camping. It was a blown tire.

Check your paperwork on your trailer, they may still be under warranty. Also, call the Montana folks and see if anyone else has had a problem with the same tires. You haven't had that trailer that long have you? Are the tires rated for the weight of your trailer??

The man came out to inspect the tires on the camper and he found blisters on all four tires. One tire had separated in the middle and I didn't notice it until he pointed it out. I have had my issues with that make of tire and so this is the last time I will ever own anything from that manufacture.
Most certainly I would have been left on the side of the road with multiple blown tires if I had tried to get back home with the ones that are on it now. The company I am buying the tires from is coming to the campsite Tuesday with new tires and install them on the spot.
We went to Williamsburg this afternoon and took a tour, what an interesting place to visit. The fur gang is having a great time, enjoying their new playground. This is really a nice campground.

Not Goodyear Marathons again?? Like someone said keep the four tires for proof. You shouldn't have to be out any money for new ones. I would call the Montana folks and let them know before someone with the same tires isn't as watched over as you are and end up injured or worse.

Hi Dixie Flyer,
Almost betting the tires are Missions... correct? Hold onto the old tires. If they are Missions call Tredit Tire, (800) 537-2925 and tell them what has happened. They are good to deal with and usually work with you. Even if they are not Missions, find the supplier and call them.

Indeed we are fortunate and most assuredly we have been watched over. Before each trip Sue and I pray for safe passage to our destination and that the equipment be watched over. Having two warnings from people passing us on the Interstate and then still having arrived safely without a blowout was incredible. Every tire on the camper has tread separation with bubbles or blisters showing up in the side walls. Tires made in China are off my list and I will never have another one on my camper. This time I am going with Michelin “G” rated truck tires as I have always had good luck with that name brand tire.
Today we are going back to Williamsburg to enjoy more of this historic city. It is amazing how well the building have been preserved. It is as if they were built just a few years ago. The girls are having a good time enjoying new surroundings. Last night wasn’t so much fun as a very big storm came through. It lasted about an hour with lightning and thunder. Some of the lightning was very close hitting somewhere in the campground. I felt for the people in tents wondering if they were okay?

PS. Goodyear Marathons tires are what is on the camper.
