Any suggestions on what kind of paint to use on the floor in the garage area of TH. Don't really want to use bed liner material, just some sort of paint to match the existing gray I have now. Thought about paint they use on concrete garage floors but don't know how it would work on wood. Home Depot recommended just an exterior house paint, but don't thank that would be very durable. Thanks

MULETRAIN,
The paint they use on concrete floors will work.. but a GOOD quality of "Oil" based paint it what I've seen used.
What ever you use.. the surface must be really clean. Scrub it down with TSP and rinse it well.. make sure it's dry. Roll on two coats, allowing it to dry between coats.
Take the time to redo it every year after that and you should have no problems. It will resist oil spills and can be wiped right up..gas spills MUST be wiped off immediately.
You can wet mop it to keep it clean as you go along.
You can add #10 silica sand to the paint and stir well to improve traction and reduce the chance of falls due to a slick surface.
Check with Ace.. their Oil based paint is high quality and is often on sale this time of the year.. the last I bought was $49 for 5 gal on sale.
DON'T USE LATEX house paint! Good Luck!

instead of paint, go to a spray in bedliner place and have them do the floor. I did that on my cargo trailer (Rhinoliner) and it is great. They added garnet to the mix when they did the drop down ramp, it isn't slippery, gas, oil solvents to bother it, it is easy to clean. They even when up 6" on the sides to completely seal it.

Sherwin Williams has a good product called Porch and Floor paint. Very durable.

Valspar. what a joke. I bought some Valspar stain at Lowe's to stain my deck. Did not have enough. Went back to Lowe's for more. They have discontinued Valspar. Called Valspar to find nearest dealer. Folks, this is Atlanta area. They did not have another dealer in the area. HuH? Had to drive to Macon Ga and when I got there, their phone person that I had called did not know that they had discontinued it as well. I tried to order it direct, and was told that they only sell through dealers. When told that they did not have a dealer near me, they suggested a dealer in Ohio. Go figure. No more Valspar for me.
