While doing some netsurfing recently I discovered something I didn't
even know existed,4X4 Motorhomes. In fact I found 2 companies who
mfg these types of RVs. They are Revcon and Earthroamer.

Two questions, first of all does anyone know of any other company
who makes similar type of RVs ? Also I think Revcon has been mfging
their 4X4 RV for about 10yrs,but in searching the web I have not been able to find a single used one for sale ???? Does anyone know of any used 4X4 Class C type RVs for sale ?? Or a site that lists them ?

Thanks

There are companies that will convert your ford e450 to 4WD. I think Quigley is one. I have heard the dealer I bought from is starting to stock 4WD Class C's as there is a decent demand for them on Long Island to camp on the beach.

The dealers webiste is www.eddyslirvcenter.com

Xplorer Motorhomes used to make the Excursion model in 4x4 but they may no longer be in business. Just by happenstance, I found a used 2001 25-foot Excursion listed by Safford RV in Fredericksburg, VA. See saffordrv.com. These are probably rare models - they are built on the pick-up chassis rather than the Ford van chassis used for most Class Cs.

Now that would be one heck of a deer hunting vehicle. Would probably get a few scratches in it going through the woods though.

Check out my profile - I have one of the Quigley conversion models. Picture is there, just scroll down.

Just bought the rig in immaculate condition from a fellow here in PA - Quigley took the rig right from the dealership when it was new and converted it to 4X4 for approx. $8,000. It has 15,000 miles on it now.

Since I just bought it in June and haven't had a whole lot of time to take her out so far, I haven't taken her down for beach fishing yet, which is mainly why I wanted the 4-wheel drive.

What are you looking to spend?

Go for the Quigley conversion. I have a van with a Quigley, and feels like it came from Ford with it. Been thinking about taking it into the woods during the hunting season because I know my class c will never make it in.

If money is no object (it is for me), try a Unicat on a Unimog or MAN chassis Unicat Website There is one available in the States at EuroTruck-Importers. If you go there, tell Sean I said hello.

One other option for you would be what I had before the Endura ... a Lance (or other manufacturer) truck campre on a one ton 4x4 truck of your choice.

QuadVan will convert existing MHs. THey are also the factory converter for Chinook motorhomes.

Besides chinook, Fleetwood and Bigfoot also have 4x4 options.

Thank You to everyone for your help !

Looked up every company mentioned and I am impressed with
the great MHs. NOw I wish I could find more used models of the
ones mentioned. I did find the 2 used Xplorers. Definite possbilities.
