Well, we made it back from Myrtle Beach ( did I tell you we were going?) Art had to work there on friday, so we decided to take a couple extra days there. Of course when he came back to the MoHO friday night, it was POURING! Rained off andon all friday night, and when we got up Saturday it was still raining and the forecast was for rain all day, so we decided to pack it in and head home. With great sorrow, I have to announce it was NOT raining here. We did find a great place to stay in MB tho, it was a KOA place (Myrtle Beach KOA) that has so many things for kids, a jumping pillow, a pool and a great sprinkler system ( the sprinklers look like trees with water spurting out the tops) that runs all day. Lot of nice shade trees there and it has great cable tv. We plan on going back there soon with Miss Abigail and possibly Kahlie. I know we sound like old stick in the muds, but we dont hit the night spots. We don't drink and I can't stay awake that late Hey, who left that great cherry cheese cake in the fridge? Man oh man, does it taste good.

rosie, how is MB these days? I went there for college spring break way back when. Did anyone read about the low carb diet being better than the traditional low fat diet? I'm going to cut back on white bread and rice now. Easing back into my cardio too.

Wing, I didnt get to see much of MB, tooooo many raindrops. It was pouring most of my time there. Traffic was bumper to bumper too. The locals seem to hate the tourists. I did get a local paper and that seemed to be what most of them were talking about in the letters to the editor. If you ever get a chance to go back, that KOA park is very nice. lots of shade. I know the ones right on the beach seem appealing, but there are NO trees in them and the rv's are like sardines in the can. If you are there just for the sand and water, they may be fine, but I loved the trees and the larger sites. BTW, did you get any of that great cheese cake? I came back looking for a second morsel, but it looks like someone sneaked in and made off with it.

I found some white cake with buttercream frosting. Washed it down with some milk when no one was looking. Kids are all asleep. They won't miss it in the morning.

Back from our trip to Corpus Cristi, Tx. Had a great time, even though it was hot. Still had a great time. WHO!!! is eating all the pie and cake and good for ya stuff. Anyway, temps here in San Antonio still bouncing between 98 and 100+ on a daily basis. It's nice when it will get down below 80 at night, but that only happens once or twice a week. Got a hurricane entering the gulf ans suppose to hit land this weekend around Brownsville, Tx. this weekend. That is several hundred miles from here but should provide us with a good chance of rain. We will see. Hope everyone is having a great time and I'll check ya'll later.

Doggone, I didn't get any cake. SON!! hot here in the mountains today. Got up to 95 degrees, no rain yet, suppose to be as warm tomorrow. I don't like this heat, with our humidity, you "wilt" when you go outside. We need rain really bad. I'd take a thundershower in a
heartbeat. Hope all of are having a good day. Rosie, glad to see y'all got back ok...too bad about the rain while you were at MB. We're thinking about going to beach next year, just don't exactly know where we'd go. Getting ready to eat supper. Shun, that cake icing sounded good. Joe, take it easy down there in that heat. I'll drop back in a little later.

Its been more than a little warm here. Yesterday I was told it got up to 103 degrees. They are expecting more of the same today. we did get a bit of rain last night, not enough to wet your whistle, but some is better than none, Miss Abigail is still here. She and Art and I went to toys r us lst night. I was looking for something for her birthday and didnt find what I was looking for. I am going to look online and see if I can find it. Art amused her while I was looking and decided "He" had to have a Polly Pocket thing a ma jig. He promised to let her borrow it, so she is very happy Well, I need to get outside and strip the bed in the MoHO, you guys have a good day.

Almost time to head out. Gathering stuff to pack up the RV. Some friends may join us for the weekend as well out in western NE. Plan to be in the Black Hills by Monday. Hope temps will be reasonable. That cake is still around, getting a bit crusty on the edges.

Hope all of you are having a good day and your all well. Hey, now that it's almost over...I'm 58 years old today!! Don't feel any different, don't look any different, but I still "picked up" a year...believe I'm going to do the Jack Benny thing and stay at 39 for a while...y'all take it easy and have a great day....I'll catch ya later.

Well, now, THAT was exciting!
Dark clouds. Lightning. Thunder. Wind. Heavy rain.
It only lasted about half an hour, but WOW!!!
I was out on the down-wind side of the covered deck, watching, until the wind blew the rain all the way under the cover and I was getting wet.

Shun, it doesn't look like the budget will allow me to go to South Dakota to meet you, Sure would like to but it doesn't look good. Let me know where you will be, though, and if I can swing it I'll be there. Ya just never know... Have a GOOD trip.
