I think we might go to Dead Man's Basin for a night or two this coming week, just to see how the Southwind handles.
Then Saturday is Amateur Radio Field Day, where we are supposed to prove we can run our radio stations "off the grid" (yeah, like THAT is difficult in a self-contained RV!). I have everything just about ready, just a couple of little finish touches on the power harness to do. I'm thinking about going to a friends house across the mountain at Klein, just a little south of Roundup on Hwy 87, to set up for the 24 hour Field Day, with the Mussellshell radio club. I should be on the air by 1200 Saturday, and remain on the air until 1200 Sunday. I don't think so... I gonna get some sleep somewhere in there!
After that, a trip to Great Falls, towing the Jeep, to visit kids/grandkids, and go to the Commissary.
Then, 3rd weekend in July, Glacier Waterton Hamfest, at a campground about 16 miles West of East Glacier.
Then, last week of Sept/first of Oct, a week long autoharp gathering near North Bend, Washington.
So, if we are going to Chattanooga, it will have to be in August, time and money permitting!
WHEW!!

zeppollis....hmmmmm, what in the living daylight is THAT??????????? washer is working great. with 2 littles and one of thems mother, you KNOW it is getting a work out. They are having a ball on those boogie boards. We know someone parked on the other side of the park and they say they can hear Kahlan all the way to the other end of the beach squealing. Art and I have been living it up too. We cruise the park in the golf cart at night and then meet friends at the coffee shop and gab awhile. This is really a nice park. beside the usual stuff you find in parks, they have a great trading post that carries everything you can think, of an indoor pool and spa, and a resturant. there is also a nice produce man that comes around every afternoon in the growing season. Lovely fresh fruit and veggies! The beach tho is the great attraction. The sites have plenty of room to set up a conversation area too. I dont know about Art, but I want to come back here again. We are just down the road from a camping world too.
We are having bbq ribs, fresh corn on the cob, cukes and tomatoes for dinner tonight....so I need to start cooking!

rosie, hey, at least you got your washer back and it's good to go. Should have some warranty with the new pump...but I know what you mean..
We got up here yesterday evening around 8PM, did some yardwork for about an hour and picked up where I left off this morning..place looks good...Sun was out, got up into the low 80's...water is perfect for fishing and swimming...did more fishing this afternoon though. Caught some bass and some panfish....smallies sure do fight good...
Hope all of you are having a great weekend and hope all of you are well....we'll be heading back Monday.....the son, DIL and two grandsons came up today so it's been..busy, to say the least...really enjoy being here with them...
Y'all take care, I'll catch ya later.
NC, I think the whole post is there...as I can recall there would be no reason for an Admin or a Moderator to have edited that post and when I finish this post I'm going to send them a note asking for an explanation. Frankly, if they are going to edit a persons post, mine or anyone elses, I believe they have a responsibility and the decency to send a PM explaining why, what you did wrong, and advising that you shouldn't do that again. Just common courtesy as far as I'm concerned. Stay tuned.
NC and Mower, I see you two didn't opine on the Zeppollis identification.....so here is what it is/they are.....Italian Fried dough with powdered sugar....they are addictiong ...they come heated in a paper bag which you tear open at the table and the restaraunt here serves them with three sauces in dipping bowls; raspberry, caramel and choclate....absolutely addicting...especially with a good hot cup of espresso!!!!!!!!!!!
Larry, Sounds like something I'd love to eat, but don't think I should
Hey, I'm slow, but I finally figured out the "Peg" thing...The night I made that post, I had a brain freeze and asked my wife, "What's Larry's wife's name?", and she said Peg....Later on, when I found out that wasn't correct, I told my wife that Peg wasn't Larry's wife's name and she said, "Which Larry?"...I had forgotten that her first cousins name is Larry, (they have a camp close to our's in WV)...THUS the reason I said Peg instead of Linda...SOOOOOOO, it was my wife's fault for the mix up....well, maybe not, but that's what I'm going to say here anyway..
Got home an hour or so ago...It's overcast and a little warm to me....Had a great time, next time we're going, will be the 9th of July for about 8 day's....at least thats the plan for right now.
I need to mow the yard, but may wait until later this afternoon.....hope all of you are well and having a great day.
Larry, don't know that I could eat something I can't spell or pronounce...then again, seeing as how it's a pastry.....I'd probably eat more than I should...
Hey, I've been "edited" before, and not found out why....Once I wrote c-r-a-p...had to put the dashes in or it get's edited as though one used profantiy....I don't use profanity and it made me mad to where I stated that I don't use profanity and the admin had made it look like I did when they put ***** in place of me saying, "that's a bunch of c-r-a-p." Didn't know that the word, c-r-a-p was considered improper or deemed as profanity"...oh well, it is what it is.
gotta go, catch y'all later.

Well, count me in on the Zeppollis. just the fried dough with the powdered sugar sounds yummy. I would probably pass on the dip.
Art has to work today and tomorrow at north myrtle beach tower. I forget that airports name. Yesterday we were watching their traffic here on the beach. They really run some traffic in the summer time. Between the guys who pull banners up and down the beach and the ones giving helicopter rides they are busy. Never mind the plain aircraft.
The kids are enjoying all the kids here and Gracie is enjoying watching all the other dogs. Lots of Yorkies here.
Last night we had a good night, but art needed to get to bed at a decent hour so he could start his eval this am. While he is away today and the kids are gathering up their share of sand I am going to clean
OK, someone is laying down on the site...don't know who it is, but action will be taken if we don't get this going again...am I clear on this?!?! The area needs to be policed around the site, it's dusty inside and theres no coffee on...Sup wit dat????
I come through here again and it hasn't been picked up and looked lived in, there will be someone to answer to...get my drift???!!!
OK, I feel better, though I'm at work....I picked up around the thread, dusted off the site, put some coffee on and there's donuts over on the counter by the micro wave...do your chores and you can partake of the coffee and donuts....
Yeah, I'm at work and just my way to vent...got here at 03:00 and hope to leave around 12:00 or so...
Been warm to hot around here with some HEAVY rain storms in and around the area late afternoons. Hope all of you are well and having a good weekend.
Nothing planned for next weekend, though I'm off...Larry, I bet you'll be gone, if not, maybe some of us can hook up for breakfast one day, (Art/rosie too?)...maybe Breadbasket if he's not on a dark ops mission somewhere?
Won't be going back up to our camp in WVa until evening of July 9th thru July 16th....
Gotta roll, duty calls....I'll be in the area all day....carry on...

And I was just thinking I needed to check in and see what was going on. No problems here...just trying to get all the "stuff" done around here before our trip out west. Cause, assuming all goes as planned, it will be Oct when we get back and not many days left to accomplish outside stuff before the cold weather begins.
NC you are right on the ball...I was going to suggest breakfast this coming weekend. Linda and I think a trip in to Asheville is a great idea. So either saturday or Sunday...your choice is good with us.
Love to get ro_sie and Art up as well.....heck we might even get Mower to drop in - lol......obviously Handbasket is MIA and must be considered a POW of the "Weight Police" in the battle of heavy!
Shoot me a PM and let's figure out how to recon this OP.
I have been busy building antennas and getting ready for amateur radio Field Day. I'll be heading over the mountains soon to get set up and see who I can contact, if anybody. We are having a small get-together at a friends house, and he lives in a canyon, so the propagation might not be very good. But, we'll have fun, that's what is important, and I'll get a chance to test the gimcracks I fabricated.
Y'all have a great weekend, I won't have computer access until Sunday evening.
10-4 on Handbasket being MIA. Yeah, sounds like we need to get together next weekend or it'll be awhile before we can meet up again.
Yo, rosie...do you reckon you and Art could work something out for next Saturday or Sunday mornings (better late than never)...to find a place where we could all feed our faces, if convienient to you? I know it's a longer drive for you and probably 30-40 mins for Larry and Linda to get to Asheville. Guess we could try to find a "common" place for all of us to meet where we all might do some driving, but yet find a decent place to eat....Let me know what you think and we'll go from there.....
Jon, have fun at the Amateur Radio Field Day, hope you get a lot QSO's in....Take care and have a safe trip...
