We've had every kind of camping outfit there is except a motor home. Tents, back of a station wagon, a van, truck campers, travel trailers (very small up to 30 ft), 5th wheels, and have always had the most fun with a truck camper. Congrats on the new camper. May you enjoy it forever.

I ended up getting a 6 ton running gear from my neighbor.(he's a farmer and had an extra running gear sitting around, it's what hay wagons are made with)

After I stripped off all the old wood and started building my platform out of 4 X 6's, I realized it was still going to be too tall.
I took a day to just think about it, maybe smaller wheels, they don't make then small enough. Maybe different wood, but I already had the 4x6's laying around.
OK, I've got an idea, remove all my brackets and wood, flip the entire wagon upside down. Reinstalled the tongue upside right, brackets and wood, loaded the camper and wheeled it right in.
I also put a sheet of the pink insulation foam between the camper and the wood to soften the contact point.

I may not be quick but given enough time to think about it I'll make something work.

I'll post photo's when I can.

Just bringing back to the front for some that missed it the first time around. I know several wanted to see the wagon once I got it done, I still have to get different wheels (the farmer would like these back) but it was still the right price.

Dang Spott, after all the work you did on the other camper, you had it nearly perfect.....I do understand the change though.....When we got our Bigfoot we really looked the NL over.....They were about 3500 bucks more than the Bigfoot. That was back in 2001. The wife liked the forward bath on the NL.
Good luck installing the driveline and steering mechanism on that there rig.....
