We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Furrs. It had several Mexican dishes which made it a different experience for us.

Lin's Grand Buffet vs New Wave Chinese Buffet
Today we ate at Lin's They had a huge selection including a Mongolian Barbeque & Sushi Bar But it was unanimous, we liked New Wave better and it was cheaper too.
Both are in McAllen, New Wave a few blocks north of expressway 83 on 10th and Lin's is on Nolana.

Next time try Crazy Buffet on 4th & Nolana, down the road from Lin's. Better service IMO.

Crazy Buffet has reportedly rated very low on health inspections lately according to the local TV news reports.

Don't get me wrong, I like Lin's, their food is good. In fact, it's where I last dined before moving out of the valley. But...unless we're talking E-coli infections here, nearly any buffet style restaurant will have its share of "infractions". Just the nature of the beast. Lin's is no different. Their method for dispensing ice-cream comes to mind here.

My Wife and I ate at Lin's in Weslaco last night. It is brand new and beautiful both inside and out. The senior dinner was $8.10 without a drink, and the food and service was excellent. I much prefer this to Furrs in McAllen. Lins is on Express 83, north frontage road, just east of Home Depot in Weslaco.
