Propane:
Go back on hwy 180 towards Veracruz. Pass through Casitas and shortly you see a lighthouse to your left and the next intersection take a right and your are now on hwy 129. Pass the intersection on your left you will see the propane station. We paid 97 pesos for 20liters of propane.
Internet:
Go the same way as above and continue on hwy 129 for about 10km. Next town is San Rafael. When you come to the “Y” rear to the right and the white house with blue writing to your right is the internet place. They charge 10 pesos an hour.
Went to Martinez de la Torre yesterday. Continue from San Rafael for an other 20 min. and when you get to the “Y” intersection take a right. When you see a forest green building, designed similar to a lighthouse and the sign Centro take a left. The huge grocery store named, Chedraui, is in the second block on you right. They have anything your heart desires.
Scotia Bank is our bank from Canada. They have them in Mexico and so we do not have to pay service charges when we withdraw money from the ATM. The Bank is located one block of the Plaza. It is busy area, and parking is difficult, so you may want to park at Cedraui and take a local bus or walk to the Plaza.
Opposite the Bank is one of the wonderful fabric stores they have here. If you sew you want to leave room in your rig to bring lot‘s of it home. What a bargain at one to three dollars a meter, which is not quiet a yard.I knit and Crochet and the yarn is not as good as in Canada and the USA.
Pemex:
There is one at the beginning of the Emerald Coast. The one in Casitas,is two km from Neptuno RVP. They both have diesel.

Please keep up these reports as we're leaving next week for Emerald Coast and Veracruz from McAllen. If there are only 4 rigs at Neptuno now, do you think we need to make reservations? We are 2 motorhomes - 40' and 37'.
Have you, or anyone heard how the road mx130 between Poza Rica and Queretaro is? We are considering visiting the Emerald Coast but do not want to have to go all the way back to Tampico to catch a good road over to Queretaro. I have heard that the road between Tampico & the Emerald coast is very rough as well. Is this true?
Spent 3 nights on the Emerald Coast at Posada del Zorro ,about 2 km north of Neptuno. Daily rate is 200 pesos, but they gave us 3 days for 500;weekly rate is 150 pesos per day.
Showers are clean, very nice and tons of hot water. Each spot has its own palapa with a light and table & chairs ;also a sink and electric and sewer.Level spots.
Went on to Veracruz - the Macombo is well located but currently deserted with a distinctly urban ambience. There is a Walmart, a Costco and a Mega Soriana a couple of kms NW of it, though. The new one mentioned in Church ,Villa Deschamps,is down a narrow dirt road and has no signs of being able to camp, but there is a balnearo a half km before it that claims to be a trailer park. We ended up in Boca del Rey, which is closer to Antonin Lizardo, quite apiece out of Veracruz; adequate but not well situated for visiting veracruz. We ran into one fellow who stayed at the Walmart.
Now we are in Catemaco at the Hotel Teteplan (sp?),200 pesos, which is great. Last night we stayed at the La Cieba,150 pesos, but the restaurant is under construction, and we had partiers till 5 a.m., both on the lake road and at a nearby bar. No sleep.

"I have heard that the road between Tampico & the Emerald coast is very rough as well. Is this true?"
We found it normal for Mexico. Lot's of Topes in the villages, a rough spot here and there bud in general pretty good roads.
We are paying 800 pesos a week at Neptuno.
Thanks swissmiss. It is hard to know what 'bad' roads are when you are talking of Mexican roads, unless you have something to compare it to. The Baja, to me is 'bad' as it is so bumpy, potholes, broken shoulders etc. This may have improved by now however and many, many people drive the Baja every year. The toll road from Nogales to Mazatlan is a breeze in comparison. We are not so worried about rough patches as we are about steep, windy roads with broken or no shoulders ie. Devil's Backbone, though we might even attempt that. It is a truck route. We would know in advance what we were up for. We plan on taking Mx 130 from Poza Rica to Queretaro, through Pachuca, and are hoping this isn't one of those! We have not heard any reports on this route but it looks ok on the map and 'google earth'. We should be at the Emerald coast the first week in Jan.

No steep, windy roads as far as we saw. As far as attempting Devil's Backbone see my webpage.

I posted road pictures on there. We did it with the truck only and would not take a RV. The big 18weeler's need to come over to your side of the road around the very tight curves. We will leave around Jan. 2. so might not have the pleasure of meeting you.
I hope all of you have your RV Net stickers on so we can find you when we get to the Emerald Coast. Have yet to see another sticker but we always keep watching.
