I have a Gulfstream Ultra model 3616 with a single slide out for the jack-knife sofa and dinette. Does anyone have any recommendations on getting a stabilizer for the slide out, I have not had any problems but since this is a long term investment I wanted to know if I need to get one. Thanks for your input.

Probably a good idea NOT to get one. It could end up putting force on the slide while the motorhome itself shifted.

Not a good idea at all. The slide can support itself very well and a stabilizer exerts pressures it was not constructed for.

Gulf Stream will tell you "do not use stabilizer's" I don't use them on mine and it's fine.

Thanks Everyone for the input. I have decided not to put the jacks on the slideout. Now all I have to do is decide if I want to get a cover for my new class C....I know there is alot of info here on the board and I am going thru it, should be done in a couple of weeks..LOL There is a camping/RV show in a few weeks in the Atlanta area so I will also try to get some more info there. Thanks again!!

Ive had 5th wheels with slide outs and never supported the slides. What I do do is use the lube spray frequitly on the rails and they always have been smooth operating.

On your cover quandary... I was in the same boat. I ultimately bought a cover, wrestled with it for 5 hours just to determine I had the wrong size. Sold it and never looked back.
Just too much of a PITA for me...
