Thinking of buying my husband an electric tongue jack for his birthday and was wondering the pros and cons of the different brands. I do know that based on my TT, I will be looking at the 3500# jacks. Any advice you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!

We have the Barker Hi-Power 3000lb. It has been a great accesory. We bought ours on sale at Camping World for $189. It is more expensive now, but may go on sale again someday. I found it online here for the same price:

We have a barker 3500 and are quite happy with it.
Whichever brand you choose, I recommend one with plenty of capacity.
If you are using a hitch with weight distributing spring bars, their attachment is much easier if your jack can lift the trailer and tow vehicle.(Should also last longer if it doesn't have to work near it's limits.)

I also have a Barker, Why Barker? I had a heart attack 24 years ago and bought my first Barker. It is still in use today, they lasted us for a long time. I bought the 2 1/2 inch model and moved it with us when I bought a new TT. They are just plain good jacks.

We have the Atwood 3500, and been very satified. I believe you cannot go wrong with the Atwood or Barker as both companies seem to stand behind there respective product.

I bought this one about a year ago and really like it. I like the cast aluminum cover as opposed to the plastic on some of the other brands. I doubt that you could go wrong with any of them. They all seem to have good reputations.

Hard to say which one is best. I have the Ultra Fab 3500 and it works well. Just be sure to buy the most powerful one of the brand you select.

We have the Barker 3000. Which ever one you choose, you will be glad you got one! I don't know how I ever got along before I got mine!
