What's the best way to store your sewer hose when traveling? I leave mine in the basement, but I get an odor after awhile in the coach. I rinse well but it still gets in.

Go buy a 4'= 5 or 6" pipe. Mount it up on the ceiling of your storage bay with straps and after rinsing it out- push it into that pipe.. put a cap on it or drill a small hole in the side of the end and push a metal rod through it to hold the hose in.

I leave one end of mine hooked up to the discharge pipe in the basement and I made a end cap with a seal on it for the other end. Works fine for me and no odor.

I went to Wally World, bought a clear plastic tub with a top and store the sewer hose in that. Works great and the top on it keeps any smells trapped inside. Oh, there's no problems with leaks either.

I use a 30 gal heavy duty garbage bag, rinse the hose well and store in the bag. If you think you will get a odor a mild clorox solution in a spray bottle should work. Never had a problem...Good Miles

We got a one inch sewer hose. Not the one with a pump on it. This one uses a water jet to grind up solids. Works great. It is slow so we keep a ten foot three inch hose to use at dump stations. The three inch is stored in the provided holder. We carry thirty feet of one inch hose. It is stored in a plastic container with a lid on it in the basement.

I rinse and rinse and rinse with fresh water when I dump the tank, then connect and clamp the ends of the hose together. Have never had an oder problem. Also I store it in the compartment where all the waste plumbing is, so its not an air tight compartment, lots of air flows through there.

just bought a 4in. pvc drain pipe by 6 ft at the plumbing store and mounted it across the back of the motorhome attached to the mud flaps or any other place on the chassis. one end is capped off on the pass. side and the drivers side by the connections has a screw cap on it. slide the hose inside and screw the cap on. can drill a few holes on the bottom to allow water to drain if any. cost about 10 bucks, they also have the thinned wall pvc which is lighter.
