We bring a hatchet/ax for chopping up firewood that may be too big
I bought a pair of welding gloves for about $10 at Menards They are thick and cover a large part of the arm. I can handle hot cast iron pots/pans, campfire grill and hot firewood without getting burned. $10 well spent
We bring two collapsable trash cans and use one for trash and one for recyclables. We have not been to many campgrounds that recycle so we usually haul the recycling back home to set out at the curb
The collapsable trashcan is like gold. LOL I've used one (the same one even, that's how durable it is) that I bought from CW over 8 years ago. Mine has velcro which is awesome, i noticed the new ones have a different securing mechanism that a lot of people said they do not like as much as velcro. Glad I got the older one. lol We use those, too. We have ones with the zippers to close them, but hardly ever close them. We put the big 30 gal black garbage sacks in them so they always stay clean.
YOu don't close yours when you store it and pack up? Yea, i also use the big black trash bags so its always clean. I really love that trashcan. Before I got it we used a big trash bag but it is a pain picking it up and opening it everytime to throw something away. That seems like a petty thing, but it really is useful to be able to pitch your trash in a can without fooling around with a bag! LOL We use it for pop and beer cans. We have a screen room around the awning and the container stays in there. Have never had problems with varmints. I also use them for dirty clothes when going to the laundry --- and yes, I zip it then. We dispose of the cans/garbage before we leave camp. We don't use them for garbage....ours are huge and I don't want garbage around that long, so we use a small trash can for the garbage.

Home Depot is the only place I could find it. Other big name type stores didn't carry it. I used it at the s&b for curtains in my sun-room.

Thank you for the pic. I tried to find it online and was unsuccessful. Any chance you could provide us with the SKU bar code numbers? Or a link to it if you have it.
Thanks!
Got a Home Depot near you?
Home Depot shade cloth
Amazon has some too.

I'm gonna get some for my garden and the left over will be used on the camper.
Thank you for the links. Would you believe not one of the 6 Home Depot near me stock it. I suppose I will have to order some online.

I went to two local Ace Stores and the local True Value Store and none carry it nor would they order it!!!!!
We live an hour from any large "box store" so I guess if I want to get a roll it will be an internet purchase............

A used golf club works really good as a fire poker, make sure it's an iron and not a wood. We bought ours at a garage sale for a quarter. it's long enought to get even the grandkids far enough from the fire.

We use the scissor type also along with a traditional poker. Got them about a year ago on sale at Ace Hardware for about $15 for the pair.

Not sure if this has been posted. I carry this when camping "Survival Pocket Chain Saw" to cut logs/ firewoods. It is really compact and works really well.

Probably want to stick with steel shafts, too, not graphite.
