Big Red

I have not tried the Rain Kap. Actually they may have some merit to them. Thanks for the tip. On my NON awning side they may give some relief. But on my awning side, don't know.

Since you did ask if any one had any other ideas.

I have done something else that works. At least on the ends of the RV gutter.

Here is the front down spout. It stays on all the time.

Here is the rear. I have to take this one off when traveling. The rear of the TT does not allow me to make this one a permanent one.

Here is the spout close up

Here is the rear one unhooked. this part travels down the road with me.

For my rig, these solve the gutter black streak buildup problem.

They do not solve the rest of the streaks in the middle. Need a bigger top RV gutter to do that. I may try the Rain Kap on my non awning side. It is significantly worse with black streaks in the middle area than the awning side. Seems the awning acts like the Rain Kap and does not let the water splash on the side as much.

The down spouts I added stopped the 8 foot long black streak at least.

Hope this helps.

PS If you get a set of Rain Kap's first, please post back how they worked for you.

Clothes pins work for me.

Big Red,

I used plastic gutter extensions that snap on the existing gutters. They work real well and you can get them through Camping World, easy to install, prevents streaks, and cheap. Looked at the web site for the product you were asking about, think extensions would be cheaper and less time needed to install.

Hope this helps,
Bob

JBarca from Ohio, I was unable to look at your image because of my prefernce settings? Will see if I can figure it out. LMSM1244, I have the snap on extensions on the trailer, but the water never gets there because the gutter is low in the middle so the water over flows and streaks the down the sides. I will get ahold of Fleetwood about this. Wish me luck! I tilt the trailer with the nose way up during storage. Don't know what else to do.

Big Red up in MI

OK try this. These are hot links.

Front down spout

Rear down spouts

Rear spout on

Rear spout off

If this still does not work and you want to see, PM me an email address. I'll send

Thanks

John

PS. I tried the clothes pins. Did not work well on my gutters. Still lots of splashing. Down spouts fixed this area. Now need to work on mid section.
