We spent 5 days there and loved it. Even my teenagers had a good time. We used the waterpark for a few days and then spent a few days touring Charleston. Nice sites, very clean park, trails for walking. We will be going back.
We have teen too. Only one (16) going. In this heat would like to use the 50 amp and none avble at James. Put tentative resv at KOA. Going 7/31 for 5 days so if we don't like it will check for canx at James or move on up to Myrtle early. We are late so can't complain. Maybe should go with 30 amp at James but...any thoughts? Water Park sounds like fun.
We spent a week there in June, and other than Tropical Storm Alberto it was a great trip. They also decorate the whole park for Christmas if you can go during that time.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks..

Attractions - ghost tour was fun. Fort Sumter, walking the streets to look at buildings/architecture, Walking the Ravenel bridge.
The waterpark at James Island is not huge. It has some neat slides though and a lazy river. Considering it was about 95 degrees, it was quite nice after a morning of sightseeing.
We are considering going back at Thanksgiving. They start the Christmas lights in early November.
We also stayed at Oak Plantation for 2 nights prior to James Island. It was nice, but didn't have as much for us to do right there.
