Just wandering If any of you trailer a jeep behind your rig, and what mods to your hitch, to be able to get extra clearance If needed? Would like to see pictures If you have them.
I do as well as our moderator, BradW. Mine is on a 16' carhauler flatbed hooked to a TorkLift Super Hitch with a 21" extension to reach past my 9' camper. It tows great and I have not felt the need for a WD attachment.

My camper is 9'6 and I use a Tow Beast with the extension cut down as far as it will go (slides in until the bend hits the receiver). If I had any longer of a camper I'd go with the SuperHitch.
My trailer weighs between 7000# and 8000# depending on what's on it with the Cruiser.

I tow my Jeep on a 16' steel trailer behind my 98 GMC k1500 with my 1987 Starcraft Roadstar 8' popup camper. The camper sits in the bed with the tailgate down - and I have more than enough room to hook up and tow the trailer without any extension. Obviously using my half ton truck is not ideal - but I did it a few weeks ago and it actually worked extremely well - especially with the airbags on the truck. As soon as I can I will post pics.
I four-down tow a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon or my wifes's Liberty. I have a Reece Titan with a 35 inch extention. I use Blue Ox gear; tow bar, baseplate, and Apollo brake.

we tow a 99 tj jeep. have a lance 1020 so have to use an extension with side chains to help the sideways movement. use a reece tow bar with safety chains and then run the magnet lights to the rear bumper of the jeep.
our jeep is a black with a black top so we put some vecro strips on the side front and rear to put some reflectors on them to help at night.
do a google search for 'flat towinf a jeep' and you will get some good ideas.

My TC doesn't hang all that far, it is only a 9.5footer.
I used Reese Titan V 2.5" with one of thease:
This shank is about 8" longer than the normal slide in shank. This one is used for WD setup so I also installed the head for the ball mount:
So all in all I get about 9" of extension and the ball mount is adjustable to insure I tow level (bags help too). Works great and I have yet to install the WD setup as I haven't had the need for it yet, so for now it just lays on the garage floor
