We're spending 6 mos. in Tucson this winter. I'll be working in Catalina, but Valley of the Sun in Marana is the closest (24 miles) to where I'll be working. I'm looking for opinions, pictures, etc. about this park. I'd LOVE to spend the winter at Voyager, but that would mean a 1 hour drive to work each day.

Thanks!

Is that the campground that is right next to the freeway? If it is the one that I'm thinking about it is downwind of the sewer spreading ground for the city. Check it out real good before you send money.

We had some friends stay there this past winter. The sites are very close together, didn't notice a sewer smell. They liked it because of the rates.

I looked it up and Valley of the sun is not the campground that I was thinking about. The other one was on the other side of the freeway. Good Luck
I believe the stinky campground is named "A Bar Campground".

I think this is the new one that might as well be in the median of the interstate. Did you look at Picacho Peak or is that too far away?

This park is about a mile away from the I-10 exit. It's a beautiful park with a swimming pool and hot tub. I won't forget to mention that it offers FREE wireless internet as an amenity to all guests. The RV section is in the back and the mobile homes are up front. When I was there late last Spring, they were remodelling the rec hall. The people were VERY friendly -- BOTH the workers and the residents. There was no stinkiness at the park and it was nice and quiet at night. There isn't much right next to the park, but you're only like 2 exits away from "all what you need" (e.g. Walmart, Lowe's, restaurants, auto supply, awesome 99ยข store, gold prospecting, etc...)

Their website is Valley of the Sun Mobile Home & RV Park

Thanks for the info. The last time I talked to them to make reservations, the website was a work in progress. I just wish there were more pics of the park.
