A few of us here in Minnesota have talked about getting together at a CG in August. This is open to anyone of course, not just Minnesotans. The two weekends that look like they'd work are 8/20 - 8/22 and 8/27 - 8/29. I own a site at a CG up by Hinckley that has guest sites pretty reasonably priced (Pathfinder Village), and there's also a nice CG (but no trees) right at the casino. I could also check into some other MN CGs if those don't work. Pathfinder has a pavilion, store, very nice pool, and some other amenities.

This is truly a no-frill mini-rally: no organized events or meals. (Unless we stay at one of my two suggestions above and want to go to the casino buffet - highly recommended!) Just lots of great conversation and camaraderie. I'm more than willing to make the CG arrangements, but since I'm on call for jury duty through August, I can't make more of a commitment.

If you're interested, let me know which weekend(s) you could make it, as well as any suggestions you may have.

Hope to see several of you then!

Hello Marty

I think the later weekend would work best for us, hopefully we'll have everything moved by then and we'll be ready to relax. Pathfinder would probably be my preferred campground, Grand Casino is nice, but you're right, no shade at all!

Julie

PS - my regular email is down right now. We moved our mail server this past weekend and it's not working right.

Marty:
We could come either week-end, although the first one might be a bit better, but we can go with the majority. Pathfinder or the casino is good with us.

Ok, based on everyone's input (I've talked to Carol R on the phone) looks like the second weekend (8/25 - 8/27) at Pathfinder Village is it. I've made reservations for 4 units - I don't need a site. The fifth unit is questionable, but there's a 72-hour cancellation policy, so I thought I might as well reserve. The rate is $22.50/night, water & electric, and check-in is 12:00 on Friday. Check-out is 11:00 Sunday, but they really don't enforce that.

I've got everyone's email address, so I'll contact you that way with any further details.

Still sites available, so if anyone else is interested, be sure and let me know! So far, I've met everyone coming (except Julie V's husband) and it would be nice to get to know more people on this forum!

Andy,

We'd love to have you join us! Since this CG is an owner association, I need to make the reservations for everyone (and guarantee them with my credit card), so let me know for sure and I'll phone in a reservation for another site. I'll send you a PM with my email address and please send me yours. Most of the important information is in my 8/3 post; I'll fill in any gaps through emails.

Look forward to meeting you!

Hi John,
I really don't know the answer to your question. Since I own my lot there, I've never had to rent one! I do know that it's not open to the public; just guests of lot owners or C2C members. Why do you ask? Idle curiosity or or you planning on heading to beautiful northern Minnesota? I'd love to see you if you are!
