Where's "here"?
It was only about 82F in Signal Hill today...

Now my whine: Why can't we go camping this weekend?!?!? Here is Redding CA. How about I split the difference in temp. with you? That would make us both 97. Sounds like a deal to me.
I can split better than that, I've got our A/C-Central heat set for 73F....allows between 70 and 76 and stays fairly constant (we're on a ground floor condo that gets most of its sunlight in the afternoon & evening. Today was only 72F outside....
Have a lot of sympathy for those firefighters, though...my dad did that for years with San Bernardino County Division of State Department of Forestry, he retired about 4-5 years ago.

whaaaaaaa!!!!! 7 days and a wake up!...That's it until I am SUPPOSE to go on vacation. My boss jokingly said he wouldn't fire anyone until I got back...(There is someone who's days are numbered). This person is the closing supervisor ONE day a week cuz he's a flake and we are desperate!
Well.....Last night he threatened to SLAP my 15 year old niece because he THOUGHT she was lying about shutting a window!
My boss is going to hear about it tomorrow!...The jerk will probably be fired and I will miss out on my vacation!
I REALLY need this vacation but the JERK should NOT be threatening to slap anyone........ESPECIALLY my niece!
But whaaaaaaa, nonetheless!

I don't have a 15 year old niece, but if I did and that expletive deleted threatened to slap her I'd kick his behind so hard he'd have to take his shirt off to use the bathroom ! That would probably result in me getting canned but it would be worth it.
Now my whine it's cooled down a little bit but the wind has shifted and we're getting smoke again and there is ash falling in my back yard.
For KJAMES. We all are feeling for the fire fighters here. Some of these guys have been working these fires for a couple of weeks. I can only imagine how exhausted they are by now. Thank the good lord the are here.. They have managed to save a bunch of houses. They all deserve a big raise and a big thank you from everyone in the area.
Guess you'd call that a thankfull whine.

Okay, I knnow sometimes I can be a little "off" shall we say....(no comments from the peanut gallery please ) but I think I REALLY did it this time....
I used to be really big into yard sales, had at least one every year, made great $$, had what you might call a 'following' of yard sale shoppers that would call or drop by to see when my next one would be, and enjoyed it. Nowdays I just hate to deal with all the stuff. For the last several years I've been donating clothing to local churches who have 'emergency closets' and the rest to goodwill stores.
Well, I really slipped this time.....agreed to let DS & DIL have a garage sale........here. Should have known better... because I knew I would end up doing most of the work in getting everything set up
I didn't think they'd have a whole lot so I went thru and drug out about 15 boxes of things to add to their sale so they would have a good variety and turn out. Well...............here they came last nite with their van - packed full!!!!!
Now mind you, we have a gargantuous basement but it is stuffed from top to bottom!!! I couldn't cram another thing in if I tried!!!! The sale starts this afternoon and then again in the morning. There are still several large items to be put out...........but there is NO ROOM FOR THEM!!!!! Some things are going outside the doors but with all the rain we've been getting, I don't want to put much out there that would have to be brought in when the rain starts! So hopefully LOTS of stuff will sell this afternoon and we can get the rest put out tonite - and it will sell.
Soooooooooooo, here's my whine: I don't want to work this garage sale (but I know DIL can't handle it all by herself) Good Grief Charlie Brown!!! I hope it's over with SOON!!!!!!
