To all our friends in the "lower 48" (and those in Alaska and Canada, Eh!) I just wanted to come on and say, hey! We're having a great time here in Bar Harbor -- Radioman (Bob & Jane) were here for Monday's sit around the campfire rest day, and now they've moved on, Marty MUTT, Bob&Pat, and Irishmist and I are carrying on -- yesterday it was ramble around the Harbor -- a little seafood, a little walking and shopping, and then on to the Big Dipper for our wonderful ice cream cones -- back home on the shuttle -- and the only rain we had was last night and the early morning hours - Now it's sunny again and we are getting ready to roast bratwurst on the fire. Tomorrow it's a whale watch and who knows what else! We miss all of you who couldn't make it and can't wait for the Big Rally in R. Holler next May!

Margaret and I (and our dogs Lucy and Charlie, of course) are leaving after work today for a trip to Prince Edward Island (Marty the Mutt Mom going there too). Marty has enticed us to stay a night up there with you all in Bar Harbor. We'll be arriving sometime Friday late afternoon/early evening but checking out Saturday heading to PEI via St John/Bay of Fundy). We've only got a week and a 2600 mile round trip planned. Looking forward to seeing you all. We'll be looking for a good Lobster stew place. Have you crossed paths with any? Is there WiFi at the campground?

There is wi-fi at the campground -- but down at the road above the water where we are, it's worse than dial up before Thomas Edison! Up here at the laundry room, it's a little better -- which is where Marty and I are right now, just to come on and say thanks to all of you who answered the post...wish you ALL could be here! Tim, no we haven't crossed paths with any lobsters (other than on our plates!), but I know that's not what you were asking...Up here in the laundry room there is a whole notebook with all the good eateries around -- and the Traveling Lobster will even deliver a fully-cooked meal to your B if you wish!
We did the whale watch today -- no wales but a heck of a Perfect Storm ride with all flags flying straight out and whipping in the wind... a few good pictures but not downloaded yet...Later...
I'm going to turn the computer over to Marty shortly so perhaps we can get her to add a few words here... Sally, wish you and Ron had made it, 4T miles or not -- we would have had a blast with you on board today. Looking forward to Tim & Margaret's short visit -- then we are on our way back to Massachusetts for a night and then back to the grist mill (work) on Monday. Lots of memories -- and chalk up another success for B's that get together in small or large groups. Nothing like you folks -- nothing!

NJheart, love the picture of the B's in the trees. Thanks for sharing!
Marty, you ARE the queen of the mini B rallies!
We loved Bar Harbor ME and visiting Nova Scotia. If you get a chance check out Peggy's Cove - great lobster dinners there!

I have a question here. Is there a list of rallys including when and where they are or how does this work? I'd like to stop in sometime if I can fit it in my work schedule some year.
