A relative (by marriage) doesn’t think “Fulltiming” is normal.

He wrote this in an email:
-------------
“The 'RV Lifestyle' you have evolved into is a symptom of underlying problems. Normal, productive, full time employed people seldom choose to live in RVs on a permanent camping trip.”
-------------

Sure he’s entitled to his opinion, but he’s really ‘down’ on us because of it.

Fulltimers are normal productive folks !

Sounds like a bit of jealousy coming through. Keep on camping!

Maybe he is jealous of the freedom you have?

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

...me-thinks he is GREEN with that 'ole jealousy bug

When we decided to leave the so-called normal world for fulltiming, we also had that reaction from some folks. We finally figured out that we had "escaped" and they couldn't or wouldn't.

Don't worry about it, and laugh and be happy that you are able to live your dream

As "up tight" as this guy sounds I bet he can't sneak up on anyone for all the squeaking noises

Sorry, but I think your "relative" misunderstands how we live. We don't "camp" & we definitely are still working, taxpaying, productive & responsible adults. True, like Wacky says, we're definitely not "normal" because we don't want to be tied to debt, trying to keep up with the Joneses!!!!
