Some time ago I mentioned that I had found a campground that I thought would be an ideal place for a rally but dismissed it as a possibility at that time. Now that we have been assured that one of our favorite "Winter Texans" will join us in her B, here is the official announcement:

When: February 23-25, 2007

Where: Top of the Hill RV Resort near Boerne (NNW of San Antonio)
Exit 533 off Interstate 10
For official info go to www.topofthehillrvresort.com

Why: Because the weather in south-central Texas is usually mild in late winter and we will be in the area for other ativities the previous weekend and will stay over. The location is close to many other points of interest including San Antonio, Bandera (Cowboy Capital) and Luckenbach (????? capital).

Why Top of the Hill: Because we will be parked at the top looking over the roof of Class A's on the next lower level. We will not need the rally room for a small group because the original residence is open for all guests to use. Coffee and cookies are provided each morning which encourages social interaction with others. When we were there last year, we noticed a delectible aroma coming from the kitchen one evening as we went to the computer room. A guest had a cake baking in the kitchen while he watched television in the living room.
Just outside the house is a large fire ring for a comunity campfire. I would expect our main activity (and meal) together to be a Saturday night weiner roast. If the weather is not conducive to such outdoor activities, there should be plenty of room for us in the house.

Let us know if you are interested by posting on this thread. We may make more elaborate meal plans among ourselves after we know who ourselves are.

Ron

Sally & Ron,
We are interested! We both have to check our calendars but I think we are okay.

Well, since I'm that "Winter Texan" mentioned above, I'm definitely committed. I'm really looking forward to meeting all the Texans (and other southern state residents) this winter. I'll be down south during January, February, and at least part of March, so if any of you can't make this rally but will be out and about other times, please let me know. I'd love to meet you!

I am so jealous and depressed at the same time. I want to go to the Texas rally, but first I'll have to win the lottery so I can QUIT my job. I know everyone will have a GREAT time.

Irishmist, save up, and buy a campground. Working is great, and its easier to take time off if you have the right staff. The pay isn't great, but its good fun.

I'm going to try and go, but the wife's school will probably conflict. If she isn't finishing her degree, she's modeling for roadtrek aisle shower photos.. so she's pretty busy.

We'll be there! Especially since we live about 20 miles from Welfare... Who do we confirm with?

Howdy to all!

To register for this rally just call Top of the Hill and tell them you are IN for the rvnet mini rally.

We have reserved sites 44 to 49 with option to have others if needed.

After making your reservation post you are coming and we will make sure to have enough hotdogs! Everyone bring the roasting sticks if you have them!
