I am surprised that nobody has discussed this in TL Directory yet.
Sunline, which has been in business for about 40 years, based in Denver PA, is now closed for good.
All employees were laid off last week, with the last staff leaving on Friday November 10th.
Since the factory will now be closed, I don't know what that will mean for all those Sunline owners who are seeking warranty service.
I feel bad for all the workers, especially those who have been with the company for many years.

Are you an ex-employee?
I see that their web-site is still up. Have you heard if the company is for sale? Please PM me if you have any info.
Thanks.

This is hard to believe and very sad. I personally don't own one, but have read many happy posts from current and past owners. They had a reputation for being one of the best in every way, including customer service.
I just went to the factory website and it is still up and running as if nothing has happened. I will keep checking it and hope that

All of their phones are still working, the local newspaper knows nothing about the closing...methinks the stories of Sunline's demise are premature....I hope!

Methinks I smell an early April Fool's trick here. That "ex-sunline" has posted a grand total of ONE post, and it's the one we're responding to. Camp on!

As far as I know their doing just fine. A successful company doesn't just close the doors up on a whim. But a post sure can be made on a whim. Question is, what the point of doing so?

I've read that Sunline's closes this time of year....hopefully it is just the "down time" for the company....I've e-mailed Sunline, hopefully I'll get a reply!!!!
I spoke with our dealer about 2 weeks ago and he said that the new models coming out for next year, will have major exterior changes.....it just don't make sense!
Also check the Denver, PA newspaper and nothing listed in there about the closing and I think that it would be "BIG NEWS"!!!!

Some other manufacturer would have likely bought Sunline. Like Thor did woth Airstream. Sunline has too much good marketshare to just dissolve and someone to not want to buy out the name at a minimum.

I think they shut down production for several weeks at the end of each year.
