Is The Outlander good? My daughter gave it to me but I haven't gotten into it yet. As Eric says, so many books - so little time!
Outlander is definitely worth reading. I have read it a few times. My 17 year old son really liked it too (even though it has some strong concepts for someone his age to wrap their heads around).
Who is the author of Outlander?
Also, I mentioned this before, and I am going to again. It would be helpful if folks would say whether they enjoyed the book they read or are reading. jmo.

Half way through the Aubrey Maturin series by Patrick O'Brian for the second time and no doubt I will read it at least once more before I croak. The greatest historical novelist of all time according to the Times and the best series of novels I have ever read, with all due respect to John le Carre, my second choice.

It's "okay" but I prefre a male reader, for some reason. I think it would be a decent book to read, though.
I did buy that book recommended here, the one told from the view of the dog (can't remember the name at the moment), and I'm looking forward to that one.
I like male readers better also.
"The Art of Racing In The Rain" ? my all time fav book.

Tom, Katz, Kelcee, Ashlee, Nina and Lucee all in a 22ft 1992 Toyota Dolphin !!!
Reading two right now and none on CD for some reason library hasn't come through for me for a few days now.
"A Big Little Life" another dog book, Dean Koontz, about his dog Trixie, true story of her life, not his usual stuff.
"The Quilter's Legacy" Jennifer Chaivernini, 4th or 5th in a 12 book series

Did you read one of Koontz first books..."The Watchers"? One of my favorite of his.
Off the top of my head, my favorite books of fiction (at least the ones I can remember at the moment...LOL) have been:
"Water For Elephants"
"The Memory Keeper's Daughter"
"Lonesome Dove"
And best of all, a non-fiction written in novelistic style...

The Outlander series is written by Diana Gabaldon. The 7th book in the series came out today. I'll be getting it soon.
