Not one person reading Fifty Shades Of Gray ? I'm only into it a few pages. It was on the news a lot in Seattle, The libraries didn't want to carry it. It's on all the talk shows. I thought for sure some hear would have something to say about it. Bad or good reactions ??

My DD(9) just finished the series for the first time! It's been fun having a busy to talk to about the cannon, as I was previously the only PotterHead in my home. I love rediscovering bits and pieces from all of my favorite series!

We had "Peyton Place" in the sixties. I've had no interest in reading anything that is sooooooo hip, but I've heard that they really aren't all that good. The trilogy I mean.

One of my favorite books!
Next, try Gaiman's "American Gods." Much darker in tone & mood but every bit as good. AG won't make you laugh aloud, though it will make you wonder, 'have I been there?'

Just finished "The Descendants by Kaui Hart Hem. Great book, wonderful story. Now I want to see the movie with George Clooney. I like to read the book and "then" see the movie, not the movie first.

I read some blurbs about it online and it doesn't appear to be the kind of book I would enjoy reading.

I'm more than half way thru. NOT my kind of book, but I will finish. Not sure I would read the other 2 books in the series. I really liked it, loved it up till "THE STUFF" started happening to her. No one would tell me anything about it that read it at work. Now I see why. It's not the kind of thing that comes up in most peoples daily conversation. It really makes me wonder how the writer thought of it all or if it was just through research that she learned about all 'THAT STUFF'
My next read, already waiting for me is Herbivoracious : a flavor revolution with 150 vibrant and original vegetarian recipes / Michael Natkin. Just a little different !!!
Happy reading everyone.
