The plastic drain spicket keeps breaking, is there another way to make this work ? The only thing I can come up with,is using an outside garden hose faucet for a house w/flange. Any help in this matter would be very helpful. Thank You Jim

We replaced the plastic valve with a metal ball valve. We knew it was just a matter of time before the plastic one broke.

Might be a good idea to find out WHY they're getting broken. If it's hanging low and dragging or something if you put a stronger valve you COULD damge the tank itself.

Ours isn't 'hanging down' at all, unless we're draining our tank. It just sits in the compartment.

Those things are cheap and flimsy to begin with and after being expose to the sun for a while the plastic gets brittle. I have replaced several of them. A permanent solution is to reroute the drain line to go out under the RV and put a brass ball valve on it like mockturtle did.

The brass ball value would be the best way to go.

HI: I have had the same problem and carry a couple spares. If I ever find one in brass, I'll certainly buy it and replace the plastic. Bill

We bought ours at Lowe's Hardware.
