Anyone have one of the ACME EZE-TOW Tow Dolly's? Care to comment on how you like it? Pro's / Con's

Thanks!

WyoDan, I note that you did not get a response to your question.

Did you buy one and, if so, how do you like it?

Safe travels,

Frank,

I did get one and I have had very few issues. I had an issue with one of the hubs/surge brakes, but I believe it was MY doing as I do not believe I adjusted it correctly. Once I got it adjusted correctly I have had no further issues with the brakes.

The only other issue is that the ramps can be slick when wet. Also my Grand Prix sits to low to the ground and I have had to lift the front with a block in front of the ramps before driving the car on the dolly. If I don't, the front will catch on the bolt that holds the adjustable ramps down.

Other than those issues, I have been happy. Tows well and seems to be well made.

When pulling an auto/truck on a tow dolly, an ACME or any other dolly, are you supposed to unlock the steering wheel lock or leave it in the locked position. I have a new ACME but have not used it yet, the instructions don't say one way or the other, so I am trying to find the proper proceedure. Will be towing wife's car so don't want to screw up. Thanks for any help.

I have tried both ways. I think it pulls and tracks much easier with the steering wheal unlocked. At least that is the results I got from our Stratus and now our Grand Prix.
