Greetings!

DH and I will be hitting the road soon in our new 5th wheel, and can't wait!

One of my biggest concerns though, is how the heck am I going to keep up with my hair coloring? I grab that ol' beauty-in-a-bottle hair dye about every 3 weeks to cover that grey, and have medium-length hair. It's tricky enough doing it in a regular house with a 3-way mirror, I'm having a hard time imagining doing it in an RV bathroom! Just wondering how you women out there have dealt with it?

Don't say go natural...I'm only 37! And I'm too frugal to have it done by a pro.

Thanks so much for your input.

Beauty shops. I'm frugal, too, but there's no way I'd do something that messy in the RV. I think you can buy touch-up bottles.

I don't color my hair.........probably should! I used to have fake nails but have decided they're to go by the way side....sure miss 'em! Good luck!

Take your favorite chair, book and a timer into the RV Park restroom. Use the "shampoo in" method on the instructions instead of trying to layer it. You might have to buy an extra box to do that, but it beats paying a beauty shop if you can't afford it. Make sure you're either wearing a front button shirt or a robe, put on the dye, cover it with an old shower cap, get comfy in the chair and read your book. No lady meeting you in the restroom will complain! Most will sympathize, but an aura of supreme confidence will get you a long way with scoffers. When your time is up, just step into the shower for the rinse off. Don't try to do it in your rig-stains, mess and smell will certainly follow.

I do my wife's hair anywhere in the house their's not carpet on the floor, couldn't imagine where it would be much different in the RV, except you might better open the windows.[emoticon]

Wow! What a guy! My husband can't stand the smell of it (yet he doesn't seem to mind the smell of WD40...I sure don't get that).

Thank you so much for your suggestions! You're right, just relax and look cool in the ladies room (or bury my nose in a book and don't look up!).

Glad to know I'm not the only one who deals with this!

I had a co-worker who's husband used to color her hair. He did a great job, too!

Good luck!
