Not all hairdressers in Alabama destroy your hair...born there lived there for years. You just happen to find the wrong one.

I color mine in the bathroom in my TT and rinse it in the shower. Works fine for me. No way I'm going gray ever!

I am glad to see this topic. At home my wife color's her own hair by going to the beauty shop. But, on long trips I can see that with my help it would be easier for her. So, my question to other men who are helping their wife's with this project, do you use a paint brush or will my airless sprayer do the job?

... how the heck am I going to keep up with my hair coloring?
Oh, don't get me started! I DO have my hair done by a pro and here's my warning: NEVER ... EVER ... have your hair highlighted in the South (if you don't know why, just look around). My hairdresser has had to do hair rescues from two women whose hair was yellow and fried by southern hairdressers.
I just got home from a 6-week trip and can't wait 'til I see my HD. 'Til then, I'm living with a skunk stripe in Salt Lake!

First off guys, it's never "gray" hair, it's "silver" and those aren't wrinkles, those are character lines...and "Dear, have you lost weight or is it that outfit?" This has worked for me for 40 years now.

I do mine outside over the picnic table. Takes little time and we almost always have large private lots. And I guess I would do it the same way if we had the small "hear your neighbor belch" lots too. When I rinse the color out I do it in the showers.

I do my own at home, but have always had problems getting the back done without squirting the stuff on the wall, so Greg has helped me for years! I'll stand at the bathroom mirror with a towel over an old shirt and an extra one on the sink for drips, and he takes the bottle and squirts it on my hair. I have both gloves on and "mix" it into my hair. He doesn't need the gloves because he's only holding the bottle. He's gotten pretty good at it and knows how it works and where I need more of it!
Go ahead and have your husband help you. If you're doing your entire head, he really can't screw it up!

My husband does mine, can't see where it would be much different in our rv. I do touch up's in our rv and have no problem.
