Then, you have the people you just want to kick. My father in law turned 60 three weeks ago. He still has all his hair, & it's still jet-black.

When I started turning gray, about 20 yrs. ago, my DH told me how much he liked gray hair! I thought he was just being kind so I had color put on. It looked very good..very natural. But he insisted that he liked the gray better, so I stopped the color and now I get lots of compliments on my hair. Plus I don't have the hassle and expense of maintaining it. Sure makes camping (and life in general) easier.
I agree with Jarlaxle.. there's something about a mature lady (or gent) with jet black hair that just doesn't ring true! But to each his own!

I quit coloring my hair when I quit working 4 years ago. I thought I've read that more women have quit trying to hide the Gray. It's the IN thing

There ya go. Go natural. When you stop and think about it, almost half the money in this world is spent for women to look "false". False hair color, false skin color, false eye lashes, false finger nails, false teeth, false other things, false smell, just about false everything. Then when I try that, people call me names and laugh.

Am I the only one who thinks a mature woman without graying hair looks odd? Liz has dyed her hair a few times (usually for Halloween costumes...she looks odd with white hair) & even the washable dye in her long hair (knee-length) is a monumental hassle...I can't imagine doing it in an RV.
I have nothing to worry about regarding hair...I'm going bald. Started around age 22, just like my father (and grandfather).
Gotta agree with Webcreekin.

I use a gadget (bottle with 1/4" dispenser tines) called "Roots Only" which I found at Wal-mart for about $2.00. This makes doing the partings/separations oh so much easier and I get better coverage.
I also have a shampoo cape, but have been known to use a garbage bag tied around my neck to protect my clothes and/or skin. When on the road, I use the campground bathroom, and generally color at night at the camper and walk over with all my shower stuff when it's almost 'time'. (This way no one sees me with my stinky head of dye). So far it's worked very well.

I don't color mine anymore. I've been gray since mid 20's. I'm 47 now and enjoy the "senior" discounts i'm given. I never ask for them, they just give 'em. DH and I just chuckle. I just got tired of fighting the family genetics.

I don't mess with trying to do roots. I use herbal essence in the brown looks like paper sacks box..its gentle and I put it on all my hair every 3-4 weeks. I have for years and no problems, in fact my hair loves it so much it has so much more body after than before.
Just drape a towel around your shoulders..put on the gloves , mix and apply. I put a towel on the floor just in case of drips.

I use a the hairdresser now but when I colored my hair, I did do it in the bathroom but would rinse it out in the shower. Never had any stains from doing it this way. I never found it any harder in the MH than at home.

This is such a relief to know that others deal with this while traveling!
