I do not think a battery voltage alarm would be practical. Battery voltage is like a rubber band which is pulled up with a charge and down with a load. The alarm would be going off all the time. Battery voltage is only indicative of charge level when there is no load and no charge. IMHO

This is true. I guess I will find out when it comes and I try it out. If anyting it stops me from having to bring a my nice multi meter on trips.

It's not a problem. I suppose if you really loaded up the DC system it might dip some but mine doesn't go off even when the furnace comes on. I have mine programed to alarm at 12.0, a little under 50% but then I don't run my batteries down that far very often.

The alarm would probably go off if the battery was used to start an onboard generator or running a high wattage inverter, but for normal dry camping, I wouldn't expect fluctuations big enough to set off the alarm.

When my grown kids were inspecting our new fifth wheel, one asked why we bought a trailer that sleeps 4. My reply was that we couldn't find one that sleeps 2!
