Comments on Jay:

Hope he is OK - ditto. Maybe he is grill shopping. Or padlock shopping. Anyone feeling guilty!?

Robochick is NOT SCARED.

Latdo - enjoyed the photos. Love the family pics. Enjoy the fun with the kids. They grow so quickly.

All that coming from someone who is supposedly not feeling well!

Hah!

Well, I do get the LAST word in.

I wonder if she knows how many other threads I am hiding in?

Done TT shopping for another evening!

Hi all. Sorry for the delay in posting upon our return.

We were on our way home Monday, but, the weather was so nice we detoured to Skyline Drive around Madison Va. to camp one more night before going back to work on Wednesday. Well, we had a cool, but, beautiful evening at the Big Meadows CG. Got out "The Grill" and proceeded to reheat the leftover dogs from last Thursday. They were great. Found some firewood around and started a fire. There were a few folks camping and met a few of them. One came over around 9ish to point out a spectacular moonrise. Got some pics. Hope they turn out.

It started raining around 3am. Temps were down in the lower 40s. I didn't sleep well. I was awakened at 7am when the wind and rain collapsed the awning. The front upper strut came loose at the knob and slid in. No damage, but, I rolled it up anyway.

Gay got up around 9am to take some stuff to the van. She didn't see the loose asphault and the hole uncovered by rain runoff and broke her ankle. Cyd and I performed a speedy packing. The tents were stowed wet. Oh boy. I drove us home and moved Gay to the Corolla and drove her into the docs for some xrays. Ankle is broke. Orthopedic visit to come. I was so tired when we finally got back from the docs around 2pm I took a nap. Woke up around 8pm. Got your call Sharon. Thanks for caring.

Thanks to you all for a great time in GB. Another rally with lots of great memories.

Sorry to hear about Gay! I guess you'll be doing more of the cooking and cleaning for a while eh? Take care Jay! It was great seeing you guys this past weekend and I'm glad you all got to enjoy more camping after GB. Lucky you!
