Jay,
Glad you guys made it home, but I'm sorry to hear about Gay's ankle! Tell her that usually people come to the rally's with broken bones, not after they leave! I'll be thinking of her during her recovery. . . .Oh, and Gwen, don't you go breaking anything with that Wii Fit! Latdo, great pics! I'm so glad I can see them now!
Cindy
So sorry to hear that you had a terrible end to a wonderful couple of days. Gay hope you are up and around soon-there is still so much camping to do!!
Jay hope you get the awning back together and the tent ends dried out.
Best wishes to all!!
I am just 'looking'. I always 'look'. Had 2 PUPs for 15 years. The ROO has been great for 2 seasons but with almost 60 days booked this year I am starting to feel the need for different camping digs relative to ease of set-up and such. Nothing over 30' mind you. No reason to rush either.
Thanks for all the well wishes. We have to add ours for Denise's Mom. Sounds like her's was worse than a simple break. We hope she is doing better. Gay's ortho doc said to just wear the air brace, so, she'll be up and around soon. Probably a few weeks with the crutches and a few more of some careful walking.
All the pics so far are just fabulous. Sharon, the first few pics of the girls reminds me of Cyd's all girl band dream. I can see 'em now. Rock and roll may be in their future. I haven't been through all of the pics posted so far by ya'll, but, it'll be some fun browsing.
Cudos to Sharon and Frank on the best laugh I've had in ages. "The Great Grill Caper" was absolutely the best prank. And that note. When I get the photos ready, I'll post that one. I was ROTMLMAO (rolling on the mat). Thanks for some greatly needed laughs.
And thanks to Jim, Vicki, Sandy and Shirley. Too much fun from all your hard work. And Sandy, the Bushwackers were the tops.
Well we have been going non-stop since we left GB and I'm sorry to hear of some peoples bad misfortune, I hope all is well and all are up and about soon. We made it home safely TG but have to get a new front tire and fix a leak we found on the way home around the windshield minor stuff.
We apologize for not saying goodbye to more folks before heading out but we had to head out early for a birthday party. We did say good bye to a few folks we saw up and about on the way out.
We want to thank everyone (Jim/Vicki/Sandy/Shirley and everyone else that helped make the weekend special including Beverly and the folks at DB Campground and hope to see them all again sometime.
We also want to say we met alot of REALLY nice folks I just wish the weather was a little better so we could have gotten to meet more and hang out alittle more. We're sorry we missed (sat night campfire)Sharon & Franks especially after seeing the log offering to the campfire god LOL but when we headed down it was starting to rain and we saw a bunch of people leave so we didn't go next time we'll know better LOL
USGC (Gwen) next time you will get to see the coolers actually run
Robo....thanks for putting up with us at your campfire. I'm glad you were only next door cause i'm not sure I would have made it further
thanks to Sandy's bushwackers!!
Great pictures Doug...someday I'll figure out how to do that so I can post the ones we took too
Look out to those we see at the next gathering...hubby is on a Peach Daiquiri kick

Good luck shopping I'll admit, not having to pop out bunk ends and make beds each trip out was the foremost selling point, for both of us. The added floorspace, storage, counterspace, bigger awning, and ease of setup, were added "bonuses", that we absolutely ADORE!
On the downside, along with the bigger TT, came a LOT of extra weight, before we loaded ANYTHING (so we opted to downsize our collection of "stuff" we usually travel with, including the truck-bed full of firewood), and Chris is already trying to figure out a way to fit a bigger truck, with more towing capacity, into our budget. With gas prices so high, we'll likely ONLY use the truck to tow, and get a little putt-putt car for him to tool around town in. Chris will also tell 'ya that while MY set-up/take-down jobs got a LOT easier, his didn't change much. He was the one out in the rain when we left GB, unhooking utilities/draining tanks/unchocking and hooking up to the TV, so I'm not sure HE sees it as a much easier. Also, we've got a serious sway issue with the TT any time we hit 65mph (which is the MINIMUM speed limit on alot of roads these days) that we didn't have with the hybrid. That, alone, has made traveling to and fro a LOT more stressful and less relaxing for him, and cut our on-the-road chats to about nil
Each has it's own pros/cons. Just wanted to give an honest assessment
Vicki - I like ALL the flavors, but rasperry was my fav We came home with the unopened bottle of strawberry margarita mix that I meant to leave with you from Lancaster. Guess we'll have to do it again at Killens next month - LOL! THIS time, though, I'm NOT mixing margaritas and bushwackers! Haven't had a hangover that bad since college UGH!

Please extend our well wishes to Gay. How long for a broken ankle??
Tell Gay we are so sorry to hear about her ankle...which foot is it? Can she still drive? I know I broke my right leg a few years ago and the worst part was I couldn't drive! Hope she is back up and at em soon! My mom is doing good - she still has bruising on her head and neck but the staples are doing good...she gets them out the day after Memorial Day. She was very happy they didn't have to shave her head...that was her biggest concern, not the 5 inch gash on her head! lol
Everybody have a safe Memorial Day weekend...anybody camping? We stay home, away from the crowds on holidays
