We have had ours for 1 year. We had a leak coming from the window in the slide. Took it in, supposedly they fixed it, but now we still get some water on the floor by the emergency window. We can't figure out where it is coming from. I wouldn't buy another Zeppelin. I like the layout we have but not the quality.
Just my $.02, I have an '05 ZII 271 and LOVE it!! I've had it 2 years, use it all year long, and absolutely love it, would buy it again in a heart beat. I guess I got lucky and got a good one! =) Good Luck,

I have what is called a 2005 1/2 model Z281, believe the 1/2 represents a different couch model. Except for a couple of beginng small problems right after buying, haven't had any problems other than some decal shrinkage. I got a good one. Only real complaint would be the tires. They were Chinese tires, NANCO I believe. Don't buy a trailer with them, make dealer put American Tires on or walk away.

2005 Keystone Zeppelin Z281
We have an 06 Z291. To date, no real problems to report. The 06 models moved to a heavier duty leaf spring configuration. Also, the 06 has a steel frame. Mine also came with Duro tires. I had one small leak. It was the fitting for the fresh water inlet, under the bathroom sink. Tightened it and no more problem. I believe these fittings work their way loose in time due to hot and cold temp expansion and contraction. I have to believe this is an issue with all trailers. Not just the Zep. We have been VERY happy with ours and are in our 2nd year of use. I think many of the real issues were addressed in the 06 model year

The Zeppelin trailers have terrible frames. Frames originally built for 21 foot trailers had extensions BOLTED on with a plate only on one side of the frame and ordinary nuts on the other side. A 26 footer has one extension, longer trailers have 2. The extensions buckle and twist. It does not matter what year. Norco built frames were replaced by tubular frames. The Norco frames were not supported well and twist and buckle just behind the wheels. The newer tubular frames bend behind the tongue. There were many pictures of both type of failures not only for Zeppelin but for Dutch Trailers. There are ongoing legal cases and pictures have been withrawn from the internet. Doesn't mean I can't talk about it though.
You have been warned! (I may or may not have actually owned one of those Zeppelins whose frame twisted within 3 months *hint hint*)
Now, 21 foot or shorter Zeppelins probably will not suffer the same type of frame damage.
I also have to say that Norco is blameless. They build the frames to specifications provided by Keystone. Norco is a good company.
I also have to say that I was warned by a salesman from a competing dealer about the Zeppelin frames but went ahead anyway because I didn't believe salesmen and because of weight and cost. You know what? My bias against car salesmen worked against me. So the other lesson I have learned is that a good salesman is your best friend and his commission is worth every penny... Go find one pronto...
