By the way, Paul, is it really your birthday, or is this a Choxnpinz Prank?

It's not a prank, Maria. I pay close attention to the special dates for friends (IF I know the dates) and rarely forget to send glad tidings when they're due.

Cheers!

Maddie and I clicked on jfktower during the Popes farewell at Kennedy airport, and about 12 minutes after the doors shut, we heard...."Shepherd One Heavy, clear for takeoff, cleared to one-one thousand...." Guess he had juice for that clearance.

Was neat to listen to. There was an NYPD helicopter circling between the two runways for about 20 minutes prior to the takeoff, dodging arrivals and departures. Glad I'm not an air-traffic controller.

Then heard them handed of to Boston Center shortly thereafter. He's on his way back home.

NO traffic today coming down from the Adirondacks, and listening to the local traffic, there were no delays, even though there was a mass at Yankee Stadium. Guess everyone used mass transit.

Fun weekend. Nice to be home. Missed my girls.

jimgo,,neat to hear the Pope depart, glad you had a great weekend...Off to Charlotte, NC on Friday to see my daughter..She is overdue for a visit..
7 hour drive, but they wanted around $500.00 to fly for a hour and ten minute flight..Can fly to Boston or even Missouri cheaper than that...Hate to send my money to the middle east but I hate to give it to US Air even worse..
Everyone have a safe week

Happy Trails.

And if your flight on USAir was like our last one it will be faster to drive.

True story; last time we flew to Florida a friend of ours drove. We both left the house at the same time, he arrived 1 hour after we did - and he stopped for a quick snooze along the way. I don't like flying...

Good morning everyone. Jimitchin it's good to see you posting again. Another beautiful day today, and the entire week looks to be much of the same. 75F & sunny - just about perfect!

There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.
