We boondock on the beach across from the lagoon. Obviously no hooks ups, but it is nice being by the water and you can't beat the view. Of course, it the stability of the sand is different from year to year and last year we were nervous about getting stuck...hopefully this year it is a tad more firm.

We are right now in the Heritage RV here in Homer. We choosed it to make the laundry, have a nice shower and the Hookups. But I must say that this is the first and last time we will spend in this gravel Parking lot. We had such a nice Place in Seward, and now in Homer a Rip off. We will go back to Seward anytime in the Future but never again to Homer.

Theres another business that is off of my list. Confounded scalpers probably don't live in Alaska year round and only come up in the summer to rape the public and us natives! If they do live here year round they had best hope they make enough money in the summer to support them through the winter. Theres not many of us natives that cotton to such rape jobs as this and are quick to boycott such businesses.

If it is Heritage that you are talking about it is my understanding that it is owned by a native association.

Jackie & tony- thanks for putting us on to the Kyollen park. We never would have stayed here if it wasn't for your suggestion. Got a great spot overlooking the marsh and seeing LOTS of eagles fly overhead.

Hi All,
We will be down in the Seward/Soldotna/Kenai/Homer area over the 4th of July and a few days after. Going to recon some of the RV parks down on the Penninsula. We won't be hauling the fiver with us, but we'll be cruising in "The Blue Moose"
I'd like to meet some of you that are in the area at that time to put a face to the handle. We will be scouting out as many RV parks as we can hit so let me know where your at (and you can PM me a site number too if you want) and we'll see if we can't stop by for a howdy-do! And if you see a blue F350 Crew Cab truck with a visor over the windshield and four big lights on the front bumper...it's probably us!

Yeah, we saw the $75 site on the Homer Spit. Incredible.

We already had decided to stay up at the state campgrounds out at Anchor Point (15-20 miles outside of Homer) and just do a daytrip onto the spit. Saw many bald eagles up at Anchor Point on the beach and around our camp site in the trees.

As for the spit, ate a very enjoyable meal at Captain Paddies (Patties?)

Yellow building on the right as you get out around the businesses on the spit.

We ate at Captain Patties a couple nights ago. We are staying on the beach across from the Fishing Hole. Heritage is by no means full, but from what we tallied, they are probably making and easy $5000 a night. I won't be contributing to them, but many do. Personally though, nothing beats looking out at the ocean and beachcombing when the tide is out.
