Dan, I can't talk anyone else into coming to Branson, but have been in the motorhome fixing a broken water pipe and just doin those little things that you tend to put off until you get a bunch of them lol, well I got a bunch-of-em, so it is time to get ready. I need to shorten the curtains in the bedroom, they touch the bed, the curtain that covers the windshield needs to be redone, cabinets need to be cleaned out and rearranged, move the bathroom faucet, you get the idea. She is old (33 years) and requires some maintenance from time to time. The next thing is checking out the seatbelt mounts for the great granddaughter, if she comes. Just came in the house to take a break, the weather is beautiful, in the low 70's and I'm going to take advantage.
I checked out a few things yesterday in my own motorhome. Checked it through for leaks, checked the lights and battery, started it for a few minutes, checked the tires, moved it a foot or so to get it off the same spot on the tires (still too much ice at the bottom of the driveway to take it out). Yesterday, it was 74 in Denver, and was shirt-sleeve weather even in the foothills. Today, we had almost a foot of snow, and it never got above 30. Ah, Colorado in March...gotta love it (If you don't, you'll go mad) Can't wait for June!

I hear that!!! We had someone to look at our house today, in this weather! White outs and blinding snow here. I was surprised they didn't cancel.
We are ready for June!! Actually we are taking a trip in May too.

WOW!!! 74 degrees in Denver. It was 69 in KC over the weekend. Just a memory now, it's in the low 30's. Snow or rain is expected sometime today.
Did any see the nice write up about ABC? The article said 5 yrs in a row as America's Best Campground. It really is 6 years in a row. I'm sure they are proud. Maybe this will help our registration count to increase. Nice picture of 2006 rally too.
I've contacted Tammy Worley from Good Sam's magazine. She was in Branson in 2006. She is suppose to get back with me about door prizes and who will be able to come from Good Sam's at our rally. She said she could not come because of another conflict in her schedule. Everyone is busy, yet lots to do.
Left a message with Michelle to give me a new update. I'll ask her if there is a count minimum. Also, I'll review with her about shows and entertainment. Now that we're approaching the time line, we can review our options more clearly.
Oh by the way Dusty, we have a Carriage dealer here in KC now. Also, saw Quality Rv at the RV show this weekend here in KC but they could not bring any Carriage products because of the new dealer. The new dealer brought 2 Carriage rigs to the show. They have a Cameo in your floor plan now.
PS Dusty, rub-it-in that you have a dishwasher and I don't. lol
It is 61 here right now but we also have a winter storm advisory until Wednesday morning. A few days ago when we had all the show, I blew the drive out where the 5er is in anticipation. You all waiting for June??????We have an outing scheduled for April and another the first week of May.
Don't forget the challange I had posed in a previous post.
OK.. I talked to Michelle at ABC today for an update. We still have 10 rigs reserved. This is a good jump start but would love to see more. Anyone with any ideas on how to get the word out, please speak up.
Camp Little Paws will be arriving on Friday with their agility equipment as they did last year. So I thought we could have our doggie parade between 5 & 6PM on Friday and the agility fun after that. There will be no Pony this year because Dixie Stampede does not have the pony any longer.
Also, I thought it would be fun to go to Dixie Stampede as a group on Saturday. If there are more than 15 tickets purchased, we get the group rate of $40.15 per person which includes the tax. The head count has to be in early with a serious commitment because there is a $200 deposit to get this rate. Last year the non-group rate was around $48.13.
I put together a tentive schedule of events. Let me know what you think.
June 4th 5pm registration... bring a covered dish and your choice of meat and the guys will grill it.
June 5th 8:00am Breakfast 5pm...Pot Luck and Ice Cream Social
June 6th 8:00am Breakfast 5pm-6pm...pet parade followed by Camp Little Paws agility exercise...6pm to 7pm. 8:00pm 50/50 pot
June 7th 8:00am Breakfast Dixie Stampeted 4:00pm
June 8th 8:00am everyone brings a canned fruit and bread to share followed by a brief church service and goodbys.
*** cards/games/talk around the campfire every evening at dusk

What a lovely day. We are having thunder, lightning, and raining ice at this time. 29° with a windchill of 15 and a winter storm warning saying we could have 1/2" of ice with 2-5" of snow and sleet. What a wonderful day to go camping....
