First time out parked on a sloping campsite that overlooked a nice canyon in Colorado National Monument. Cranked up and off the ball and watched the trailer accelerate toward the canyon. Fortunately I had not unhooked the trailer brake wire yet and after 3 feet it activated and locked the trailer brakes, but not equally because the trailer ended up sideways in the site. ha, mark

I bet you had to change your shorts after that one. LOL. My luck the DW would have been in the trailer and come out covered in food or something. Thank goodness for the breakaway.

HI: As I recall it was backing the TC into the overhang on the garage roof while trying to park it beside the house. The TC now has a nice little patch to remind me to pay attention to what I am doing. Bill

At the time, I had a 1993 Prowler TT. I had never pulled one before. We went on a trip to East Tennessee. I was trying to turn the TT around in a large parking lot at a McDonalds. It appeared to me when I started, that I had enough room to turn it around. I didn't. If I had continued, I would have knocked over their sign. So in order to get out of there, I towed the TT forward through the drive up lane in the wrong direction. I had several people give me strange looks.

It wasn't the first trip out by a long shot, but a few years ago I stored my slide-in TC in the back yard. The space between my house and the neighbors is very tight, so I had to pull the side mirrors in to clear both houses. While backing out in the spring I had my wife watch closely as I backed. She finally said, "You're all clear" and walked away. I continued backing and crunched the side of my Saab.

Next day I stopped off at my insurance agent to talk to him about it. "No problem," he says, "just get an estimate and I'll cut you a check."

"Uhhhh... one more little ding to report," I add. "When I pulled up to the front of your office, your roof overhang hit the top of my camper...."

Believe it or not, he's still insuring me.

After unhooking trailer from truck couldn't find keys to the truck, after two hours of turning truck and trailer up side down looking for them DW found them in the trailer door. Next day had two sets of spare keys made.

Yep! DH doesn't allow me to go to RV shows now. We did the same thing. Glad we did though.

2 years ago we owned a fifth wheel. While packing up to leave a campground in OH, we noticed a couple running around looking for their cat. We did help for a while then we had to get moving on to PA. About 4 hours later, we went to the 5er to have lunch and use the BR. As I opened the door, I large orange angry mass jumped at me. Fortunately I was able to catch it. Kitty had gone into the 5er and we didn't see it.

We called the campground, who notified the couple and they came to meet us and retrieve their tangerine tornado. That was his name...Tornado.

On a return trip from dry camping in the in-laws yard, we pulled in to get gas. Long story short I was bragging about how much I liked the size of our camper because we could get into any gas station. Well when leaving I forgot about the rear-end swing and the grey/black connection made contact with the gas pump island. I had travelled about 20 yards, looked in the mirror and sar a torrent of full grey and black tanks comming out of the camper. 2 New valves and some PVC pipe and we were back in bussiness. Man was I ever embaressed
