I'd be with your DW in canceling because I'm not even going & I've been bitten just thinking about you guys! I'm glad you were able to get a refund & I'm sure you'll find some place else to go.

I'd stay at Pechanga, in Temecula, and trailer up to the lake (about 20 min.).

Hello everyone. Has anyone been to Lake Skinner this year and know what the mosquito situation is this year? Just booked 2 nights there over the 4th of July weekend and do not want to be eaten alive! Thanks.

Not sure where you could go that has fishing, but Vail Lake in Temecula is a nice campground, kinda pricey though. You can shore fish on their private lake, but you have to drive to it.
