We left Edmonton Wednesday, for Dawson Creek. Nice, 90% four lane highway.
Stayed at Walmart. Had 22 RV'sstaying there.
We walked,30min, to the Info center and the next morning stopped there since the WIFI was suppose to be covering that area. No such luck, 2 bars no connection.
Next day we drove to Ford Nelson, and stopped at the info center there and the WIFI did work there even so the nice kid warned us it works off and on.
Roads where fine bud no wildlife???
Next day we got to Liards hot springs. Great spot, big back in RV sites at the provincial park - had no reservation bud had plenty of spots around 3 pm. It did get busy later. $ 17.- Canadian dollars which included the hot springs which are a 5 min. walk.
The park has no electric, water nor showers.
Big parking lot across entrance to the hot springs or inside the gate. Day use fee is $ 5.- can. dollars.
Will continue later hope fully with some picture , Silvia
British Columbia has a very bad rule for tourist. They do not allow sings on the road for business. So I suggest you zero in your odometer at Dawson Creek in order to follow the "mile post " suggestion of points of interest. Otherwise you may pass them up as we did
Below are pictures of the Liard Hot Springs RVP.
Now we are in Whitehorse and are trying to get a new tire for our fiver - the road took a chunk out of it.
Canadian tire and walmart have none. Today is Sunday so have to see if we find one tomorrow, to be continued

Thanks for the tip, we will fill up here in Whitehorse. We have a extra tank - 280 liters in all I think we will go to Juneau first - we where told the weather in August is rainy. After that we will follow you to Dawson city. Silvia
One thing you need to be aware of up here is NO CELL PHONES WORK. Northwest-tell has the monopoly I was told and even so I had 6 bars on my phone in Ford Nelson it would not let me connect. Now I have no bars -no service.
We found a tire at Fountain Tire here in Whitehorse with no problem. They carried Good Year so we received 150.- dollars toward a new one ( $ 241.- ) since it was a manufactures defect. YEA
The mosquitoes are around all day, and since it stays daylight til around midnight - they stay up too
We are staying in a very nice Campground south of White horse. The Caribou RV Park, run by a young Swiss couple. Very clean showers, bathrooms and Laundry. There also is a Swiss / Canadian Restaurant on the premises. Nice walking trails in the woods surrounding the rv sites. They have 19 pull trough’s and a few back ins.
Tenting is also available with a lovely community day use cooking cabin and separate sink for washing dishes.
Two Tepee’s are also for rent, sleeps 6 adults for $30.- a night.
Rv and tent spots are between $ 17- 26.- dollars depending on what services you want. It is a good Sam Park. A car / rv wash is also available. FREE WIRELESS Internet plus a computer for guest to use for a fee. http://www.caribou-rv-park.com/
Today we will go down to Skagway via the Klondike hwy. Passport all ready since we now will enter Alaska / USA south of Fraser.
The road is nice and little traffic until Fraser.
Right before Fraser they are doing road work. They escort you through a 3 mile stretch of road of gravel.
It took us about 3 leisurely hours to Skagway. After Fraser we encountered a lot of sight seeing buses with cruse hip passengers coming our way. So it may be a good Idea to be going down before noon. Otherwise you may have to drive behind them
There are 5 Cruise ships at the dock.
We are staying at Garden City RVP which costs $82.50 for 3 nights.
There was a over 20 rig caravan suppose to come bud they cancelled on the poor fellow

Mountain View RVP wanted 32.- dollars for E/ W only that is way we stayed at Garden City with Full H., the other RVP does have trees in case you preferred that.
The drive back to Whitehorse will be steep!!! You will clime the 3000 feet up to Frasier in a steady climb. It is not like you go up and than flat a bid- it is pretty much up and up :> There are pull outs, bud that is why you need to leave Skagway early - since the tourist buses will be there too!!!! and not leave you any room to cool down. The Canadian Border is open 24 hours in the summer and US border opens at 6: 00 am
Alaska has a different time zone then Canada- you gain a hour coming down to Skagway and loose it going back.
Have booked a trip to Juneau for tomorrow. Ferry did not run today and is booked for vehicles Thursday and coming from Juneau to Skagway on Sunday which we would have liked to do. Passengers can still go on.
I am a bid disappointed about Skagway. You have about six blocks of nice streets and shops and that is it. The city has a "dead" feel to it. Grass is sky high, beer cans everywhere
I am wondering where all this tourist - cruise ship money is going
Certainly not for up-keep of the rest of the city??? or enforcing the litter laws ???
Hope fully someone can enlighten me
