We just finished our first long trip with the MH and I am in the process of dumping tanks. While on the road I would put some water back in the black, and put the odor eliminator in at the same time. Since we probably won't be going anywhere for a month or two, should I just leave the black tank dry? Should I drain out the fresh water also?
thanks

Between trips and..
Until we winterize and store for the season, I leave a gallon or two of "clean" water and the chemical stuff in our black tank. I leave the gray tank empty.

I always like to leave some water in the tank. Keeps the seals from drying out.

Me too. Other than after winterizing, I always try to leave a few gallons in each tank.

A few gallons left in the tank is good for the seals, also can prevent anything from drying up solid if the tank was not perfectly cleaned after draining.

I leave a few gallons of water with the chemicals in black tank, and a few gallons with 1/2c bleach in grey tank. We haven't put any water in the fresh water tank!

Thanks for the responses! I'll prep the tanks so they are ready to go for the next trip.

I always leave about 3 gallons of water with an 8oz bottle of Aqua-Kem in the tank after each time I dump the black and even during the 6-month winter storage (it doesn't freeze with a bit of pink stuff; it turns to slush).
