Once again i've had a very pleasant experience with the service dept. at mcgeorges in ashland, va. About my problem- I experienced generator failure and was not able to start my generator. I was able to contact the service dept. at mcgeorges and was walked through diagnosing the problem over the phone. The technician, understanding the urgency of the situation, even directed me to another repair facility where i could pick up parts and have me back on the road. I couldn't have received better customer service. I felt the staff at mcgeorges was genuinely concerned with helping me although i didnt even have to come buy parts from them. That is excellent after sale service. And no, this is not my first post. And no, no part of this is scripted. And no, i' not a mcgeorge employee, associate, nor affiliate of the dealer. Just an extremely pleased customer!

I thought they were getting better. I needed my batteries load tested because my charger failed. the tech used channel locks to loosen the batter cables.

they did order the warranty parts I needed very quickley, but I replaced and installed myself.

unless I can watch the repair, I will not let them do it.

their service writers just do not seem to know much about rvs.

Let's rethink this whole "I hope I die before I get old" thing.

Actually this would be post number 2, the first one a lavish review of the same dealership which was shut down by the moderator. I guess I am just a skeptic but it seems fishy.

Wow, all of your two posts were about loving McGeorge RV. They will never touch mine ever.... My experience is different, even when I was looking to buy a unit from them. No one would talk to me or even help and they were rude when I asked if someone could open up a unit so I left and went and bought a Foretravel in Texas.

I contacted McGeorge's to inquire about a MH price and had a nice conversation with the sales representative. I asked to be sent an options list so I could put together the rig I wanted and didn't hear back from them for about two weeks... and this was just to say "nice talking to you"... not a mention about the options list or anything else. I wrote back that I'd shop elsewhere. If they weren't even able to attempt to properly follow up on a sales call I don't think I would want to need them for anything serious. Possibly sales are just that good that one more sale is meaningless.

McGeorge's RV in Virginia continually gets slammed for poor and shady dealings on this Forum. Then we have these "mysterious" new members who pop up and their only posts are how great McGeorge's is. Sounds fishy to me. Also sounds like someone at McGeorge's is trying to pull the collective wool over our eye's.

I purchased a class C from them in '99, had some service work done on it. This was at their old facility. Was treated decently. Sold the Class C in 2003. I have used many other dealerships around the US as we are now full timers in a Class A. I have nothing great to say about them, but can understand the not so happy comments. In comparrison with other service centers I would say they would be at the lower part of the list.
Not happy with their treatment of me personally, but their work was satisfactory.
