.... and yet another form thread about the Honda 2KW generator running or not running a 13,500 BTU RV air-conditioner. I wonder when someone is going to post on doing it "right", with one of these low energy 13.5K BTU RV air cons:
Maybe some posting in these type threads who report that they are running their 13.5K BTU A/Cs with the Honda 2K have, in fact, a unit like this on their rig and not even be aware of it.
If I was serious about economical low noise boondock/no-hookup desert camping in comfort, I'd rip out my stock energy-hog 13.5 air con and replace it one of the high-efficiency ones .... or better still refuse to take delivery of a new rig unless the dealer verified that the 13.5K air con on the roof was one like this.
sorry to dig this post up. but I just read all 9 pages. Good info. I have the yamaha 2400 now. its larger than I need it for. I dont see my self useing the gen to power the AC and sit in the camper all day anyways. Im trading the yamaha for a eu2000i locally.
