I would be interested in a comments by owners of or past owners of Lance Model 1030s...

Any problems with this particular model???

Approx wet weight when loaded?

I dont think they make this particular model anymore. ??

How many years was this model in production?

Did you like yours or do you like it??

Had 1030 until last fall.

I found this to be an excellent nonslide out camper. I really have no complaints.

Lance discontinued production, because their new models have basements.

Obviously, you get much more storage with a basement model, and much more room with a slide out. However, basement models are taller, and slideouts are heavier.

1030 was an excellent nonslideout model camper.

We had a 2004 1130 for a year. Originally we wanted a side door unit.
It had some short comings but overall served us well for a 3 month crosscountry trip.

Hello Woodhog,

Wife, dog & I have a 2000 Lance 1030 and really like it. I have an '04 F350,CC,LB,6.0,Torqshift,adjusatble Rancho 9000's & Firestone Riderites w/ incab control.Bought the truck new in '04 the camper from a private party the same year. We've had lots of fun camping with groups and on our own. Ours has a/c,microwave,generator & 2 awnings. We've made several long road trips, stayed in campgrounds,rv parks & even an Albertson's parking lot in Los Angeles (w/local police approval)as well as boondocking OIMFN (don't ask).
Packed up,full fuel,water,propane,beer,dog food & stuff I run approx.
12,500 lbs (I hear them coming now). The camper fully loaded must be almost 4700 pounds.Had the truck officially weighed @ 7420 pounds (full fuel,no people) but that was before installing Torklift tiedowns & Ride- Rites. We have had no problems with the Lance and no regrets buying it.Lance makes a great camper.Having said all that, there have been times I wished for more tank capacity (fresh water as well a holding) but that would only mean more weight. This is our first camper and we plan on keeping it for a while.
